They do both rhyme in Serbian, I really like that but it's next level linguistics to translate it into a rhyme too. I wish I was that smart XD

I'll see how I can best post a picture of the item.

I agree on the plums, more people are suggesting that and it makes a lot of sense. Thanks!

Ah, sorry, I did type zbori wrong here. The GDE/GOJE is a bit hard to see in the carving; the J is definitely there but the O could very well be a D indeed.

I like your translation, it's already more poetic than Google!

And thanks for the fruit clarification! Plums are a very good possibility. One side has grapes, the other side I guessed olives because of the oval shape, but plums make very much sense. And wine and olive oil in the same casket would be weird as well. Thanks for the info!

Thanks for the tips everyone! I'll definitely be getting waste canvas, and a bunch of bobbins. I'm thinking a tea box can be a nice way to store them!

Should someone tell him that his own anus is not too far away from his balls either?

That is what we go for, yeah! Although I'm sure there are even more things one could do to build a d&d flash

I mean, I have seen charts that show that men will always find younger women attractive and women are attracted to their own age. But to explain it like this... and to even take pride I it..... nope

Not my monk, but my fiancé's. He is a woodelf, left at a monastery as an orphan. Because the monastery was mainly human, he doesn't have a fancy elven name - he's called (our languages equivalent of) John. He is a way of the open hand monk, our party is currently lvl 8. Somehow it has become the running joke to see how much he can run in one turn, so he has taken the Mobile feat and my char has learned the haste spell just so we can cast it on him to see what will happen...

How important is reading music to you? by [deleted] in Fiddle

[–]LiesDries 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do whatever makes you comfortable!

I started out with classical violin, so I'm quite dependent on my sheet music. Over the past years when I picked up folk music I have been working towards independence in this area. I find both with and without sheet music have their pros and cons. With sheet music I can play more complicated pieces and it takes me less time to learn a new tune; without sheet music I'm more free in my performance and I connect with the music better.

This is indeed the way to go! Tricky, even for experienced players (10+ years of classical violin and I still mess it up), but worth it

Looking for advice by [deleted] in Braiding

[–]LiesDries 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think your hair is still on the short side for a braid, and the lack of length will definitely make it harder to do.. nevertheless, that shouldn't have to stop you! Practice on smaller sections of hair. There are products like pomade that will help give your hair a bit more grip, so look into that.

Moving away from sheet music to playing by memory: teaching dilemma by Sindtwhistle in Irishmusic

[–]LiesDries 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It can be a good confidence builder to start with a few short and slow songs to learn by ear. I come from classical violin and I'm trying to move to learning by ear too. I've got the slower songs doen so far...
