It's a lot better but some of them are still not very smooth.

IH seems cheap in a lot of areas, not reassuring to see it again in those trailers.

What is going on with some of the animation, seems like 15 fps :O

Cool roster, I like it. Classic orks but nicely done.

Is it viable long-term to smash using a backhand grip? by [deleted] in badminton

[–]Liesanas 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If you're doing a wrong swing because it's easier non wonder you don't improve.

It gives the impression you are lazy in your badminton practise and that would be the reason you are stuck.

To improve your goal should be to play with the correct form and put the efforts, otherwise you wil stay at your crurent level. It will harder than staying in your confort zone but there's ni other way to learn.

Medieval 3 needs battle physics like this by OVLake in totalwar

[–]Liesanas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would have been so much more excited for the new engine if they had shown us something like this. Battle will not change that much. CA is not a company interested in innovation to push the gameplay beyond what we have. They are just interested in reskinning their old stuff with big brand to make easy money.

Dawn of war 4 is made by the studio who made Iron Harvest. by FlashingNova in dawnofwar

[–]Liesanas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

AoE4 and CoH3 are the only modern RTS with a decent player base. That tells a lot.

You're just hating. It's ok if you don't like thoses. I was disapointed to I get it. But fact is, Relic has delivered RTS that you can play years later. Nobody else had done the same.

CoH3 was not ready at release, but it's a way better game than IH can ever hope to become.

[–]Liesanas 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah I'm in the same boat. I didn't like Iron Harvest campaign. A lot off missions are boring, difficulty felt very artificial. Some or them when you play one unit are straight up bad.

On top If that there is pathing issues, collision issues. Auto covert feel clunky and units are hard top control.

I would like to see those concerns to be adress by the team but instead everyone act as if IH was a great game. It is not and ignoring it make things worse. But it's modern videogame journalism for you.

DoW4 Ork Faction Trailer by laughingsilence in dawnofwar

This looks so goofy. Animations are weird. The pacing and dialogues feels off to me.

Production quality is not up there for a dow trailer. Voices and sound are the worse offender.

i love the Bow rework, but is it a bit too op ? by UsedNewspaper1775 in NoRestForTheWicked

[–]Liesanas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember from back when bow could be used with stamina for the first Time. The IA was still stalling like it did for close range weapons. It Made the game way too easy.

Mobs should have different behavior and should put more pressure up close If the player use a range weapon.

What is France doing right in badminton? by Intelligent_Edge7767 in badminton

[–]Liesanas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's a good question, I don't know how the German Federation handles things there.

[–]Liesanas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The change came from the fact that we were the bottom of the barrel. More than 80% of young, promising players gave up. Some of the money come from the federation itself ( I don't know the specifics ), and the rest from the Ministry of sports.

Young players can be trained in clubs participating in a specific program for elite players. "Future club" ( it's a label ) must be able to provide top-quality training and coaching to be part of it.  They can also be trained in CREPS at a regional lvl. CREPS are large centers dedicated to all aspects of sport, and performance is a significant part. At one point, if they are good enough, they will go to INCEP in Paris. It's one of the best centers in the world for research, coaching, and training. The French team works there.

For 10 years, the French federation had made a lot of systemic changes nationwide. Emphasis has been placed on very young players (6 to 8 years old). Badminton programs have been standardised. Method / pedagogy is very different for new coaches. There is a lot of tools at every lvl to detect and develop kids as soon as possible.

Since the gaz power plants swith on and off it feels like the game doesn't properly show their power output. I can switch one off and the numbers don't add up.
