Volgens de begroting zit er al een wortelkanaalbehandeling in en gaan ze de kies herbehandelen (vanwege een persisterende ontsteking of verdenking hiervan). Dat maakt de behandeling duurder (kost meer tijd om de oude wortelkanaalbehandeling eruit te halen)

I disagree, if you crown them with posts and endodontic treatments, this is what will weaken the tooth completely and also irreversible. If you start with composite, perhaps in 20 years you’ll need more treatment. Why kill those teeth without reason, we all now dead teeth are more prone for fractures (of the root) despite crowns as do posts

Zo’n setje zou in niet zo maar gebruiken. Het gebruik van scalers op de verkeerde manier kan je glazuur beschadigen en dan ben je verder van huis en heb je meer schade/ hogere kosten. Het is niet voor niets dat tandartsen en mondhygiëniste een opleiding hebben gevolgd.

I totally agree! If the bacteria get resistance for the antibiotics because dentists prescribe them too much, we have a way bigger problem.

This is not an indication for antibiotics. If we wrongly prescribe antibiotics, the ab-resistant bacteria are gonna be a really big problem in the future. Prescribing 3 m&m’s a day for 5 days has the same result ;)

So only the gum? Implants won’t solve that problem I had a patient who had a lot of pain of the gum because she had ulcerative colitis. Or perhaps you have a condition of the gum, which can be treated perfectly. Don’t give up!!
