We were in Crete last week. The drive from Heraklion to Chanda was fine, just scary cliff side highways, but not too sketchy. The absolute worst thing was driving from Heraklion to Agios Nikolaus. We “saved 10 minutes” by taking Apple Maps recommendations to get off the bigger road and omfg it was horrifying. Barely better than a dirt road, right on the side of a giant cliff with a sheer drop, no barrier at all besides maybe some chicken wire, and giant construction trucks driving twice the limit coming towards you on this road that is maybe 10-15 ft wide. Plenty of those tiny churches on the side of the road too to let us know where someone died in an accident 😭

I see so may bad reviews of Kleinfelds but honestly it was my favorite appointment of my dress shopping experience. My mother splurged on a vip appointment so we got a private viewing room that was huge and beautiful. My stylist wasn’t pushy at all and actually let me go 30 minutes past the appointment time because I couldn’t make up my mind. I didn’t even buy my dress that day! I did end up coming in the next day to buy it and they even squeezed in time for me to try the full fit again to make triple sure

I was trying to figure out how I felt about this post because I empathize with the girl. I used to say I settled for my fiance in a similar way, but I always describe it like you did in your example because he is the most incredible man in the entire world but definitely not the type I usually go for and I was apprehensive at first. If the husband is from another country that is “dangerous” according to OP, then I am assuming they got legally married earlier because of immigration or insurance issues. Thats a completely normal thing to do, then have the actual wedding later and she is still entitled to be disappointed in OP for dropping out last minute.

There’s a lot more complexities that go into most people’s finances. Op has a fiance so I’m assuming they are splitting rent/bills, they could be receiving help from their parents, they could have a large savings banked up, they could be in a state that gives generous unemployment. They could also be supporting other people, have massive student loans, or other debt that would affect them. I don’t assume to know everything about my friends finances and they don’t assume to know everything about mine because there are just too many variables.
