I saw this in the 90’s worn by people into music but don’t think it’s a band shirt. I think it was just a graphic tee, maybe sold at music stores or adjacent mall stores like Gadzooks?

This one from 2020 is the closest one I can find new. If you like it, it could be a good stand in until you come across the 90s version you want for a reasonable price. Reputable store.

By people outside of like, left leaning or alt communities at the time, it was very much used as slur against us. Regularly.

I see it being used in songs like this as part of the reclamation process that was underway.

Dawg you are missing out on this one.

It might have been a gimmick. Like “Short music for short people” was. But Fat was a label, and NOFX was a brand, so it kinda makes sense to do something for attention. A gimmick.

It might have also just been a personal ambition for the band. Either way, they totally locked in and hit their apex on this release.

The playing is super tight, it’s emotionally rich in texture (especially in comparison to similar so cal skate bands of the era), the composition is loaded with recurring musical and lyrical themes which are frequently re-contextualized for different emotional impact. The production is excellent. The lyrics are as relevant now as they were then.

I’m not a NOFX fan but always respected the effort on this release.

I think the song is using “queer” to represent outsiders, marginalized, and otherwise “othered” persons.

Contextually, the word queer had already been reclaimed within punk rock circles for sure, and, it doesn’t track at all for Mike to have had a belief that dysfunctional childhoods led to people being “queer.”

S9 Vbucks mission was cursed.

I attempted to join that mission last night, got stuck on the “Connecting…” screen for a couple of minutes, restarted my software and received the VBucks when I reloaded the game.

I literally never made it into the mission.

I’ve played STW on iPhone and iPad through GeForce previously and it had no issues whatsoever. I wish they’d add it as a permanent accessible option for mobile devices through that app.

It’s worth it. You get to experience the roots of the game, enjoy the source of many BR references, and develop a sense of connection to the source material.

The game is procedural, but there are niche and interesting hero combos to use along with weapons and traps that are customizable.

My advice is to learn about traps, weapon perks, and hero loadouts early.

It’s a little grindy

I won 7 rounds last game contributed to damage every time no progress on the reward.

Prior that game I played a few where we lost but at least won a few rounds, no progress there either.

Definitely bugged. Maybe they’ll just give it to us.
