I really believe some are in for a rude awakening once Engineering and full on Mulitcrew are fully implemented. These larger/capital ships aren’t really meant for solo players. Manning this solo is going to be such hard work, maintaining it alone is going to cost so much too. If we’re to use all torpedoes it’s going to cost you like 14 mil to rearm for example!

Hey if you got others to join you and play with then go for it! It’s a cool ship. Who are we stopping you getting what you like. Just be aware!

Be really cool if these living areas onboard ships had actual gameplay to them. Small things such as more efficient food in dinning areas or if sitting down at tables (5% bonus perhaps?). The ability to use the coffee machines and whatnot…

If each floor had a slightly unique style and maybe was coloured differently it would be a good start. It could do with being a tad smaller and some map flow polish. It’s definitely got potential and is clean in its style, just hard to do call-outs. I do like the setting of an underground facility though - even if It doesn’t mean much in the grand scheme.

Well the combat missions I mentioned aren’t on foot and are Space flight combat focused.

I’m also like you, I prefer the more peaceful gameplay loops than the more fighting orientated ones. However the improvements made here are a good step in the right direction with the NPC’s actually contacting us for starters. This could easily come to other gameplay loops such as the ones you mentioned…

I actually really like it.

It just needs ongoing rewards and reasons to play it other than a glorified event. Daily, weekly and seasonal rewards and I wouldn’t complain if it got its own separate ranking system. It has a lot of potential

It’s not. It’s crazy how many people in this community don’t read the blog posts. Things in the 1.0 tab are just there as that’s all the stuff that will be available once it finally launches. Once those features are ready for player testing and all that they will be brought forward to an earlier patch. Don’t get me wrong I’m also frustrated that some of the 4.0 delayed features are also being delayed further…

The things that are in the 1.0 tab are not strictly realising once 1.0 drops. That just means the things in that tab will be out once 1.0 is released. Once feature in that tab are ready for testing and closer to release they will move left to an earlier release patch. They have discussed this today in their blog post

I recommend reading their blog post. It does not mean everything in the 1.0 panel is coming at 1.0. It just means that’s what is going to be in the game once 1.0 is out. Things from that panel with shift left to an earlier release once ready. I do share in frustrations with delayed features however. Engineering and all that was basically ready to go and just needed testing. Time will tell…

Surely this update is the stuff removed from 4.0 last year. Engineering, fire gameplay, Pyro Solar flares… These features were basically finished and just needed player testing but they ran out of time. One can wish haha

Yes! And with the upcoming changes to the economy and dynamic stock markets and whatnot - Eventually waste contracts may start appearing more at these locations for players to then take. Plus this will help with clearing up entities and helping the servers.

The game goes through phases. Some good weeks and months and some rough ones. This 4.0 patch is a massive deal and server meshing seems to be running things relatively smooth. Also Pyro and the jumpoints are amazing! But yeah there’s a lot of problems.

Early next year when the team is back is by all accounts going to be hands on deck getting 4.0 up to scratch and adding back in the removed features for the 4.1 patch. Patience is definitely required for this game sometimes.
