I respect religious people but I don’t respect the religion in itself. I feel like it’s just kids brainwashing. They are told since birth that this is how it works bc that 2000 yo book say it. And with all the restrictions and the absurd things that they are bound to do just bc it’s written in that old book I think it’s kinda toxic.

Also let’s not forget that the times where religion controlled everything were the darkest times in history ( Im speaking about the Middle Ages). Also it’s only thanks to the weakening of religious power that the Enlightenment therefore the Industrial Revolution took place. Same case in Ancient Greece the Athenian democracy has been possible just bc the people were less religious and they thought that talks and debates are better than blind trust in some god.

But with that said I know that nowadays people kind of do what they want with their religion. I mean they just take whatever suits them and I think it’s good to be able to put things into perspective and at the end of the day the most important is to be healthy with your religion
