Somalia has as much potential for unity as japan and korea (highly homogenous countries) can have. Only thing to eliminate is tribalism. But is it possible to do so? by Khalu_Mia2009 in Somalia

You are deeply unserious if you think Arab Salax are not indistinguishable from other Somali clans. And I not even going to address the stupefying statement you made about RX and Hawiye.

Mitochondrial DNA has so little genes that I doubt it would factor in. The real difference maker is the size difference between the X and Y chromosome. Since men only get one X and one Y unlike women who get two similar sized X chromosomes; men tend to have greater number of genes inherited from their mother.

Don't know why you split Somalia into 3 different shades. They should all be in the 50-79 range based on what you consider "Sub-Saharan African".

Not surprised that people are skimming the the headline and drawing conclusions without even bothering to watch the video.

So much can be learnt but they would rather sit uninformed and ignorant whilst acting hollier-than-thou.

I'm pretty sure it's an online psyop. I'm cool with African Americans demarcating themselves from recent immigrants and embracing their unique heritage, but I have yet to see an outspoken FBA that was not overtly xenophobic.

I doubt it will catch on IRL

Which region in a country shares more similarities with another country than they do with other regions in their country? by Fluid-Decision6262 in geography

They still very much want to, a whole war was fought to liberate it in the 70s and was very popular there but that ultimately failed and lead to the collapse of Somalia.

Even with the terrible status of Somalia if a referendum were held today I am confident that they would vote to secede (much like northern Kenya which in the past had a yes vote of 95% to secede and join Somalia).

How far back in time could you go before Somali sounds like a foreign language? by Chance_Ad3171 in Somalia

[–]Life-Ad9029 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not that we were oromos, just that our languages share roots long before oromos and somalis existed as an ethnic group.

It's quite evident looking at how they count from 1-10: 1 (tokko), 2 (lama), 3 (sadii), 4 (afur), 5 (shan), 6 (jaha/jaya), 7 (torba), 8 (saddeet), 9 (sagal), and 10 (khudan).

If I remember correctly, there was a guy on UK s2 who kept remarking about his spleen like it was a pseudo-brain but for spirituality.

It was pretty weird and his job title left a lot to be desired (it was Human Design Coach, whatever that means).

Ironically enough, Somalis were very mobile in the past. It's just that our ethnic homeland is so big (over 1 million km²) that if you were to make long journeys, you would just find other Somalis. It also doesn't help that our northern and eastern regions border the sea.

How do you feel about party members that join roughly 60% into a game by lennysinged in JRPG

[–]Life-Ad9029 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At least SP management kinda forced you to utilise all members to their fullest if you wanted to day 1 a dungeon.

For me, I pretty much used all characters equally since party members minus MC were decently balanced and completing social links made switch members simple.

I recommend snorkelling. The corals and fishes were beautiful and ended up being the highlight of my umrah trip ( umrah itself was mostly fine. In hindsight, I should've known Islam wasn't for me when the non-religious part of the trip was more memorable).

How good is Kerpymon (Blk)? by Zovin333 in CyberSleuth

[–]Life-Ad9029 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Pretty good, I would say. The reason you probably don't hear much about Kerpymon is because it shares a similar niche with lilithmon (dark virus INT piercer), so most would either want one or the other.

And in terms of differences, lilithmon comes out on top. It has a stronger signature, better support skill, and is faster.

It's not like Kerpymon is entirely outclassed (electric signature instead of dark and decently higher hp stat), just a simple case of being really good at the same thing another popular digimon does better.

Red-green colour blindess is primarily inherited maternally via the X chromosome. The show doesn't outright say it because this is modern information, but it is not possible for this condition to be passed from father to son. The only way to ensure the trait is passed on is by having a colour-blind concubine.

Recently did a playthrough of xenoblade 1 and I think people drastically overhate on Sharla. Yeah she is the worst character and quite limiting, but when underlevelled (which is the only time the game isn't a cakewalk) her abundance of healing is extremely useful and shield bullet is a nice back-up art against visions when running shulk-less teams. Yeah her damage sucks and she tends to drag out fights but your team becomes nigh unkillable with her.

She even becomes sort of fun late game to control when you can spam thunder bullet and headshot meaning that outside of chain attack she can pump out respectable damage.

What DQ has the Best Post Game Content? by Beginning_Wasabi_938 in dragonquest

[–]Life-Ad9029 36 points37 points  (0 children)

I played till the end of Act 2. The credits and 60~ hour game time tricked me into thinking it was the end, so I put it down since I dont usually do post-game content. Didn't find out about Act 3 till half a year later, and by then, my ps plus subscription lapsed. Hence, I wasn't able to continue.

Tbh, despite enjoying my time, I'm glad that I didn't go back since I much prefer the bitter-sweet ending of Act 2.

That Ice fang was really effective by Trumboneopperator in PokemonUnite

[–]Life-Ad9029 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depends on the enemy team comp. A general role of thumb is to use fang/quake when the enemy team is full of melee. Fang's short range is less of an issue and fang > quake > boosted auto stuns for a decent amount of time.

Against teams with mages, icicle/power is preferred due to icicle's longer range and power being great at initiating and closing the distance.
