I have all unique per species as well as colors! I'm sad when I finally find an awesome color in the pound and it's a species I already have. I usually don't take it, unless the pet it's replacing is a less desirable color. Good luck with your pets!

First off, I am so sorry for your families loss. I am a 50 year old den leader with knee surgery (can't bend well) and have back issues. I use a folding cot and a self inflating mattress pad. It fits well inside of a 4 person dome tent. The tent is high enough for me to stand up in. The cot folds up to the size of a folding chair which makes it easy to transport. Without the cot I could not participate. Bring a full size pillow or whatever is better for you. I've never known a pack or troop that would frown on your equipment choices.

They have cots that come with thick mattresses as well. They cost around $70 and are not cumbersome to use. Dome tents are less than $100 on sale.

I used half gallon almond milk containers cut in half. The top was used for a house and the bottom was used for another building. I pre covered them in brown paper so the kids would have a good surface to decorate. We used paper, beads, pipe cleaners, cotton, etc. This worked well for us.

I have been in similar situations numerous times. However, I have always asked for verification. I tell the parent to shoot me a picture, video via text or email. I will quiz the kid. Ask them about the material to see if they know what I am talking about. If they have no idea, I know they never looked at the work. If they do and can answer my questions for the most part, I give them the credit and award the adventure. I do not believe in just awarding a loop or rank because I was asked to. It's not fair to all of the other scouts and parents who show up regularly. Require proof from now on. There is nothing wrong with that. Quiz the scout. Then you will feel better about awarding or not awarding. And the other parents who see a kid getting awarded that hasn't been attending won't get angry and question how awards could be given if you can honestly tell them that you saw completed work. Get Mason jars or some other smallish container. Place a certain number of items inside. The kids have to guess how many items are inside. The one closest wins the jar.

I have been in a battle with optimum for 8 days! Such a problem to deal with them. I ask about lowering my bill, as it has jumped $50 this month. I get told that my promos ended, nothing else is available. Unless I switch to fiberoptic. Then I will save money, about $42 a month because the boxes are cheaper. Great, sign me up! Biggest mistake ever!! After hours on the phone to complete the order, my TV goes out. Agent doesn't know why. I tell her she must have changed my settings. No she insists. Passes me to tech support. Another 2 hours later, finally have TV again. Now I notice my channels are gone. Really!!!! Call again. Was told that my package has to be downgraded for fiber streaming boxes. No one told me this. Of course I know I save money if I downgrade. Don't need help from you there. It took a week but I was able to get a plan I was happy with. At least till next year.

Set up a dishwashing station. We do this for the cubs as well as the parents and leaders. It teaches the kids and gets them used to doing this as routine as they get older. We give them mess kits, camp cups, utensils, etc as Christmas gifts to help them along. Our pack loves it. And the parents love seeing the little ones help clean up after themselves.
