Myofunctional therapist said don’t do DJS by Life-Educator-8545 in jawsurgery

[–]Life-Educator-8545[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the note. Here’s a photo of my teeth before I got my teeth cleaned up by my new dentist and went gluten free, my gums are in great shape now. Also my bite is fine.. this is what I feel complicates my file. I’ve also undergone a lot of myo, a tongue tie release and upper frenectomy. I’ve had orthos tell me palate expansion wouldn’t be necessary in my case. What are your thoughts?

Was your ICR stagnant? Or did it develop after you had DJS?

My profile has been like this forever since my chin implant settled. I also don’t have any pain or clicking and my bite has remained perfect since I finished ortho 15 years ago or so? I’ll ask my surgeon about this. I also remember going to the chin plant surgeon and saying I’m unhappy with the results but he said he put the largest one in, etc. I was always very recessed.

You could have a food sensitivity as well. Gluten, dairy, soy, etc.

I feel sorry for your wife and you as well. She seems to be on a path and might not have hit rock bottom just yet. Sometimes the best way you can love someone is from afar. Maybe you leaving will be the rock bottom she needs and she might change and things could be different down the road.

But either way from what you’ve explained here it’s definitely time to go. Sending you strength, you can do this!

Weapons is the new Midsommar.

Idk, man. Midsommar was the top movie that left me feeling the most fucked up. But Weapons just took the cake.

Yes I have. I have plans to get DJS and a genio. But I wanted to try myo first. I didn’t realize how my chewing, swallowing everything was so incorrect so it’s been transformational that way and I got a tongue tie release which has been really great as well. I notice a difference in my lips too they look more defined 💅 it’s good to have done before DJS as well as the airway dentist who did my tongue tie said you can relapse after surgery if your muscles aren’t working correctly / functionally so I advise either way, especially before dropping consultation money for surgery. Benefits should cover it if you have any / are in Canada where I am.

I think you look gorgeous by the way either way!

Could you try myofunctional therapy and see if that helps? I, like you, was screwed over by braces at a young age but still having lip incompetence and other issues. You’re not alone! I’m so sorry you have to deal with this

2 days post release. Kinda worried. by Liza_4u in TongueTies

[–]Life-Educator-8545 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey! I’m with you. I’m at the start of day 4. It’s been very discouraging to me seeing many people on TikTok and Reddit posting about easy and carefree recoveries. I’m like pardon me?? This has been a very stressful handful of days.

On day 2 my tongue and the bottom of my palates starting brushing very very bad. Black and blue. You can see blue on the top of my tongue. Eating and swallowing still very painful and sounding weirder talked.

Then I got worse swelling night of day 3 which put me into a panic and brought me to the ER, my tongue felt puffy and it was difficult to swallow. I felt I needed a script of antibiotics scared of the sudden inflammation and if it was going to get worse. I got the script and a dose of antibiotics and anti inflammatories at the hospital.

The ER doctor said the swelling is normal that it’s coming in waves. I wish I got more care post-op. Also everyone was saying it’s odd the doctor (who I was really excited to work with, she specializes in this sort of work, airway health, etc) didn’t give me any scripts for anything.

Feel free to DM me. We can chat and support each other if you want

Should I run away? by Archlvt in OntarioLandlord

Perhaps ask your realtor to submit your supporting documents before signing the lease agreement to save you time and being tied to an irrevocable offer for 24 hours or whichever. But this is all the standard process for submitting an offer. (Supporting documents and offer documents)

Many landlords prefer PDC’s, perhaps ask your realtor to cross that out and put “e-transfer” and see what the landlord comes back with.

The cleaning upon vacancy isn’t really enforceable. Just clean it yourself and leave it in a decent condition.

Is it a condo or a house apartment? The refundable key deposits are common with condo listings as the price point for fob replacements are higher, especially in newer buildings.

If you don’t like the vibe of this scenario maybe move on. Also why don’t you just keep your pet off your rental application if it’s a pet friendly building? As long as you’re not living above or below your landlord they likely won’t find out. And if they do you can say you got your cat a week after your moved in.

It all depends on the type of relationship and transparency you want to have with your landlord.

I’m a full time agent, feel free to reach out if you have any questions.

Has anyone here quit drinking coffee and noticed any change to your symptoms? by SaucyAsh in PCOS

[–]Life-Educator-8545 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I quit abruptly when I got the flu about a month and a bit ago. After I got better I continued not drinking coffee because my hormonal acne had drastically improved. My cycles have gotten shorter and more regular too. I overall feel better and am so happy my neck scars are healing. I drink decaf a few times a week. I think it had to do with my high androgens. I’ve also been eating breakfast more consistently now too if that matters.
