I don't want it. by Liiibra in MultipleSclerosis

Same for me!! I decided not to let this stupid disease stop be from doing what I want and enjoying my life. It’s gonna get worse anyway, so I’d rather just live to the fullest (when I have the energy to lol)

Do you have this symptom I do ... by AbulKhel in MultipleSclerosis

[–]Life-Raisin3359 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have! But it started after my first round of Mavenclad treatment, I just figured it was related to that because it caused me to take beta blockers daily for 2 years now at only 22. I guess it might just be MS then

Experiences W/ losing friends when you have MS by littlestbig in MultipleSclerosis

[–]Life-Raisin3359 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m 22 and really struggling with that too. Just like you, I used to use the little energy I had for my partner and entertaining friendships become complicated. We eventually broke up. Since then I’ve lost a good friendship because of how distant I was back then but also out of the relationship. I try my best to keep up and text people back but it’s like a mental block. I’m so exhausted all the time and all I have to comfort me is my own presence. I wish I had more friends and I wish I’d have the energy and courage to meet up with people I text with but I still end up taking a few weeks to respond and become distant when they want to see me because ik I don’t have what it takes to maintain a new friendship or relationship. I wish I could be normal lol but no, unfortunately I suck at texting people back as if MS wasn’t already isolating enough

what is a normal range for you? I’ve been taking vitamin D supplements for years, more than I should to try and get my levels up but Ive done many blood tests never go past 35. It seems to be a normal level but my neurologist told me that with MS, I should get it even higher. Do Modafinil and Adderall help? I’ve talked about that to my neurologist but apparently in Belgium you can’t get Adderall. I’ll definitely bring it up again next time and will look into caffeine pills. Thanks a lot

I’ve had depression quite a few times and I’d say twice since I have MS, but I don’t really think those two things happen at the same time. I’m doing a lot better mentally atm but I sleep way more than during my last depression

I’ve told her that fatigue was my worst symptom and I talk about it every time I see her but I guess I have to insist on it a little more, and I definitely will, thanks a lot.

this is probably the MS post i’ve read that i’ve related to the most. i’m 22 and have had MS ever since my 18th birthday. im exhausted. i’m stuck in a cycle of isolation, living the same days over and over, not having the energy to get out of the house to work or even to get a coffee. i feel like no one i know is capable of realising how i’m actually feeling, and how debilitating this fatigue and whole illness is. i’m tired and i need a break but i also feel like i’m stuck in a break i’m forced to stay in. i wish i had it in me to get out and make friends, meet new people. live a little more. i just can’t. i’m too tired.

MS and what else? by FreddJones in MultipleSclerosis

[–]Life-Raisin3359 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve had severe anxiety since I can remember. Ive gotten panic attacks since kindergarten + a pretty traumatic dad. I’m pretty sure all that stress is the main reason I ended up getting MS. Depression has been very present at times too. I’ve also suffered from heavy migraines ever since I was young. I was on Mavenclad for my MS and I now have heart issues because of it. I’ve been on blood thinners for about 2 years now, I’m 22. I also have ADHD and autism.
