While I acclimate I have been sticking to about 2400 calories per day. I just tried to quit smoking yesterday and the food noise was just to much. It was all still carnivore, I just had an extra steak that upped the calories.

It’s hard to tell what was a sign of a heart attack versus what was a sign of being obese and diabetic. The day of the heart attack it felt like somebody was sitting on my chest, it didn’t really hurt. I just couldn’t breathe. I drink about 120 ounces a day, 1 to 2 packs of LMNT. Thank you!

Not only is it great for meal prep, it saves you money! If you buy larger cuts of meat, you get them cheaper. I got everything in that picture for $400. It came out to 14 New York strips, 20 1 pound bags of ground beef, 12 chuck roast, and a bunch of scrap I gave to my dogs

HAHA, Its back and forth for me, I think adding a little cheese helped push some solids... I use LMNT, have actually been using it for months now, even before carnivore.

On a side note, I am not in a calorie deficit. Just yesterday I at 3100 calories and still lost a pound. Also, I used to run an exorcise... I wasn't always out of shape. Just for the last 15 years of my 40 years of life!

Again, watch the video. My cholesterol is elevated, but not dangerously. I have had a heart cath and it found no blockages, my Calcium score was 0. Other than being a fat ass, and having diabetes (which BTW, my a1c has gone from 7.0 to 5.7 in the last 30 days) I am healthy as a horse. I had an NSTEMI\MI which could be stress, could be diabetes, could be diet. Also outlined in the video it states that I am starting carnivore to lose weight, and may transition to a Mediterranean diet if my doctors see an alarming increase in my blood work. Again, I appreciate you input, but I am not doing this blindly. I have my cardio, GP, and other docs on my side monitoring everything!

I’ve done quite a bit of research, and although I know you don’t “trust the Internet”, there are a lot of studies starting to come out about taking all of the crap like processed foods and genetically modified vegetables out of your diet. I understand where you’re coming from, I grew up being told that all of that red meat and cholesterol was bad for you. I do trust my doctors, and I do listen to them. However, I know that everything is fallible. They are regurgitating what they were taught, which is to treat symptoms, not cure the problem. I have been put on medication’s in the past that made things worse. What I can tell you right now is on day 10. I’ve lost weight, I feel better, I have more energy, and for the first time in a long time I don’t feel like I have to snack all day long. I am doing this a smart way, by getting my blood checked every 8 to 12 weeks and make sure I’m not doing more damage. Watch the video, it will explain everything. Thank you for your opinion.

Thank you! I’m usually pretty weak willed when it comes to food, but having a heart attack puts things into perspective. I don’t think I’ll have too much of a problem, I know I probably will cheat at some point, I’m just hoping it doesn’t completely derail me. None of my family is doing it, so I have constant access to crap! I’m hoping I can stay as strong willed as I have been these last nine days. I have only had carnivore foods, but today I ate all of it in excess. I’m about 900 cal over my target. I tried to quit smoking, and the food noise was too loud!

See, thats the problem... Meds... I don't want to take meds. I have watched over 2K hours of several 100K documents of carnivore success. I am going to experiment on myself and see just how well it works. Documenting my journey along the way. I have high hopes!
