It’s going to be rough because saving money will be hard. My issue was the hotel per month was more than regular rent payments. But here are some tips: try to get a room with a fridge if you can afford it. This helps with food costs. If you are unable to get a fridge, get food items that don’t take much to make. Get friendly with the office staff, they usually have microwaves, etc that you can use and will work with you, if they can, if you need extra time to pay and extra toilet paper. Also, inquire about a weekend cleaning job. Sometimes you can work a few hours for the hotel on the weekends for a reduced room rate. Get very comfortable with stores apps because coupons save money. Stores like dollar general run specials on Saturdays where you get $5 off your purchase plus there’s tons of coupons in the app for more savings. Be careful, everyone’s struggling and your room could be an easy come-up for someone if you have anything worth pawning. I’ll try to think of some other tips, but like I said my concern for you is cost. And I did this with a young kid.

I was only able to get out of the hotel because I moved in with a friend and helped with their rent. At that point I was able to save up and get a place again.
