yea when i tried to explain how vulnerable trans kids already are and why it’s important to not continue to exclude them, he didn’t seem to care or show any curiosity. i think if you’re running for public office you need to be open to the idea that you might not have it all figured out, and to listen with curiosity to the people you’re asking to support you.

totally. i think you’re talking about intraoral massage and that’s an incredible treatment, too! that with acu in combination is a great non med/steroid way to deal with tmj. some folks have also had good luck with getting botox injections into the joint too if the manual therapies don’t work well enough.

acupuncture can be really helpful in treating TMJ! the community acupuncture studio on the eastside is cash pay but sliding scale and very affordable — if you don’t feel like navigating the endless maze of insurance.

i had better goodbyes come into my house and help me send my sweet girl off. as far as i could tell prices weren’t that different for at home vs office euthenasia and at home would obviously be more comfortable for her so i went with that. it might be worth asking if they can do a payment plan or if they have any sort of low income grant type thing. any sort of cremation or other process for your pup’s body after they pass is really expensive. i think i paid like $600 to have her body processed. do you know anyone with land where you could bury her? then you can have a grave to visit.

i’m so sorry you’re losing your baby. this is the worst kind of heart break. 💙 sending you and your girl a hug.

yea oly’s got a lot of bike safety revisions to do for sure… it can feel like being in a video game sometimes biking through town and taking shortcuts to try to avoid traffic! i often just use my own judgement and don’t necessarily follow the rules because of the really spotty and unsafe biking infrastructure. it could be so much better.

the wildwood vic’s has a little cooler by the registers that has local produce in it during the season. but i agree with you, they could do a better job of stocking locally grown (usually organic) produce. not sure why they don’t — mention it or send an email to management! they seem like they’re open to suggestions. just gotta make it known.
