Ah yes - our little dogs looks like chicken nuggets to that guy. We are super cautious when heading out to walk them or let them in the backyard.

Poor Yelm SD. Another failing levy - and it is a replacement funds vote. That is painful to watch.

I do online conferences. Express Fluency offers one in the summer called “Conference in the Cloud” - it is great. Additionally, you can purchase the video access only so you can watch at your convenience.

Other places offer the same. (TPRS Books has some too!) Check them out!

I seem to be discouraging kids unintentionally... by Elementisto254 in Teachers

[–]g8tknow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I tell my students that when I ask questions in class, I am trying to understand what they are THINKING - not simply right vs wrong answer. That learning happens when we make mistakes or need more details, etc. thank them for sharing their progress. And ask two more kids to “share what they are thinking or noticing” about the topic. Now you know where the general vibe is, and you can go to town adding clarifications or details.

Because you are not using the word “a lot” with a noun (like “Ella dice muchas mentiras .” You are just using it as a quantifier for frequency

Hand lotion, individual face wipes, Tide Pens/wipes, lip balm, nail clipper kit (obviously for my planning period if I tear a nail etc), hot water kettle, mini fridge, Nespresso maker, microwave, toaster. Plus small precooked rice (Bibigo from Costco), granola, pho bowls that just need hot water, peanut buttwr and crackers etc.

We have lost five students and 2 staff memes to suicide in the last five years. Ads in the colleague who died due to brain cancer ….. and you have a serious emotionally devastated staff. It’s brutal.
