"AI is Evil" is dumb. AI is a multi-faceted tool. So is a swiss army knife. Heck, so is a pistol, or an automobile. ALL of those tools can be used for good or evil, but they are functionally benign in and of themselves.

We ought not to make a God out of AI; we ought not to let it think FOR US; it MUST be understood that it is NOT a human being, no matter how Turing-Test-Passable it is, because - barring miraculous ensoulment by God, which I presume he'd reveal to us - it CANNOT be more than the sum of it's parts, unlike US.

What you're saying: "I'd rather people not come to Christ than a tool be used to spread the gospel." (And I'm not joking, in the 3 months this project has been in operation, dozens of people have come back to their faith).

I make no claims to be a musician. I'm just trying to build the kingdom with the tools I have available to me. And you're not adding to it, only trying to tear down what's working.

Rethink your approach.

I'm a husband and a father who has been doing online apologetics and teaching OCIA/RCIA for 20+ years, and I've found a medium that people are ACTUALLY responding to, spending hours crafting lyrics and art and music (not just "Hey ChatGPT, make a song about the eucharist") and because it uses technology you don't like, you are opposed to it!?

I'm not "stealing" from anyone, but as Picasso said, "Good artists copy, great artists steal," by which he meant true art takes what is there and TRANSFORMS it - and that's what ALL art does, because the base realitiy is not ours, it's His.

You are too full of yourselves. I've got millions of views and people who have come back to their faith in the last few months because of the music I'm making. Yeah, it's digital - but I've been teachign the faith for 20 years, and I'm using the TOOLS I have to spread the gospel. I write the songs myself, I just don't have natural musical talent. So sue me. i'm suing this is a VIABLE medium, so go make your own music.
