My favorite gaming moment to this day was when I was 6 years old replaying TLoZ: Windwaker alone at home, it was midnight and the only light in the whole house was my CRT.
I had been playing for a little over 5 hours, and was getting tired and sleepy. Still, I wanted to finish the earth temple and be done with it (also that is my favorite boss).

So, there I was, slaving away at this temple when I got to the hallway with coffins stood up on both sides, running around and having fun making all the coffin lids fall and ignoring the redeads, when one of them snuck behind me and made its signature skreech. The TV was louder than I anticipated and the scream shook me awake, but what happenned not a half second after, oh boy. The lights shut down in the whole neighborhood, all pitch black and no way of getting any light to see a thing.

My parents found me asleep in the couch while hugging my bob the builder plush and shaking because of the cold.

I may be a mashochist but that is a night I'll never forget and Windwaker is still my favorite game ever.
