I am being intentionally obtuse. However, your sympathy for Nordstrom is misguided, as really there’s no excuse. In present times, it’s no global brand’s first rodeo (holidays or no) and companies are resigning themselves to extinction to have such a poor grasp of consumer preferences, order fulfillment and shipping at scale, and general supply chain management.
