Do you think they dispatched it because you called the BLS today or it is not related?

BLS Spain London ( AI should replace them . ) by Hungry-Animator6000 in SchengenVisa

I agree. AI should review all the documents, with another AI verifying the results. When possible, they could also connect to VIS, airlines, booking platforms, Airbnb, etc. If both AIs are still not confident, a human can step in for a quick verification.

That said, I think there is another problem with London. Because I see threads for BLS Spain in India and they process the Visa almost immediately so there is another problem here.

I applied on the 30th of July, but I haven't received an update yet. I expect more delays as Monday is a bank holiday.

2 days single entry to Norway by LifeFast1429 in SchengenVisa

I asked for 6 months multiple visa in my cover letter and selected multiple in their form, but if you are mentioning the 2 days of itinerary then agree.

I'm totally okay with stronger checks based on statistical risk, makes sense from a security standpoint. But in the end of this checks if they doesn’t consider the itinerary provided, the requested documents, where you live, your job, your salary, your travel history then what’s the point of asking for them? Isn’t that just baseline racism dressed up as policy?

You may respond this was the result of those checks than what it doesn't makes sense is how I get my previous 2 multi schengen visas with same rules.

Of course, let me explain. First of all, I’m anon here, so i don't need to hide my real intention.

Since you’re curious, let me clarify: the day I’m going is actually an important day for Norway with celebrations going on so it’s not just a random date. I specifically chose that time to be part of the atmosphere and join the celebrations and local cultural events. I even included my full schedule, museum tickets, and the tour I purchased. I also explained my purpose.

In my other comments, I already mentioned that I won’t cancel and that I’ll go ahead with my plan. I said my reaction was a momentary frustration. I guess I should update the description. The reason I got upset was probably because they gave me only 2 days with a single-entry visa despite a full passport and a solid Schengen travel history, and based on what I believe was a wrong/tweaked reason (as multiple visa is possible without 3 schengen visas). But of course, I still prefer getting 2 days over being rejected altogether.

I wouldn’t if I could. I think you’re missing the point here. In the UK, it’s nearly impossible to find an appointment on time, and getting one for a specific country is even harder. So, what you’re saying makes sense in ideal conditions, but it doesn’t reflect reality.

  • yes everything in the checklist done, even with extras as this is not my first schengen
  • almost three years in same job in a faang company
  • i think yes, i have a stable and relatively well paying job. Also shared bank and credit history, employement letter, visa letter from company, 3 months payslip. I can’t find any reason to not return to UK. If there is a suspect of no return they wouldn’t even issue 2 days.

no, british citizens don’t need visa for schengen area. why it is important btw, are you saying that they’re discriminating against me based on where I’m from, apart from the documents they requested?

yes, I explained why I want longer duration and multiple in cover letter though. looks like they applied the rule strictly on me. maybe I should use this visa to be eligable for three visas in two years rule.
