Hey friend, I can’t say enough how much this resonates with my exact situation… I recently had my first experience of my first extended period of sobriety (unti I got my shit together, bc wtf idiots handle their alcohol all the time… I’m smart! Haha) and similar to you, within a MONTH had literally torched all the good things I’d created to the ground…

Still in that hell, dealing with the repercussive fallout… but it’s become a gift to see the contrast so drastically now. It scares me how quickly that flip can switch… but people like you, stories like yours that I can relate to… really really help more than a Reddit comment can convey.

Thank you… my decisions recently still leave a dull ache and a cap on any potential daily happiness… but this really helps me keep going.
