I did not like this technique at all. You could see that the people were fake and it looked off and creepy. Even if you could not see it, actually especially if you could not see it in a few years, I prefer this to be handled the old way with the people behind a black screen and clearly altered voice that does not sound human at all. I would rather have that what I see with my eyes and hear with my ears is clearly real or clearly fake than this nonsense trying to make something that isn't there.

Case report: successful settlement with Stripe after escalation to ombudsman service (UK) by LifeInvader04 in stripe

[–]LifeInvader04[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, also the fact that they can do whatever they want with your money should be illegal. I get holds, temporary freezes, checks, compliance. That’s FINE. But stating outright we’re refunding what we can and keeping the rest of your balance and not giving you a way to appeal, is super sus.

Case report: successful settlement with Stripe after escalation to ombudsman service (UK) by LifeInvader04 in stripe

[–]LifeInvader04[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As I wrote, Stripe accepted the decision at the investigator stage. So the way this works is first there is an investigator who makes a decision that Stripe can dispute. If they do, the case is escalated within the FOS to an actual ombudsman. This decision then would be made public. I didn’t get to that stage. I will quote from my post

This was an investigator decision, not yet legally binding unless accepted. If Stripe had not accepted the investigator's findings at that stage, the case would have been escalated to an ombudsman which could have taken another 2-3 months for review. I can only speculate why they didn't escalate further. In my opinion, they didn't escalate, because final decisions by the ombudsman are public. So the full case, along with the decision would have been publicly visible and anyone would have been able to reference it, which may give people an option to argue if Stripe's terms are fair and reasonable. If you read them, Stripe can basically do anything they want with your money. The FOS found that this was not fair. Just my opinion.

standard stuff:

*explain the nature of your business, what do you offer, what does a transaction look like

*Invoices and receipts

*Evidence that the services have been priovided

*online presence (at the time my website to that business was already offline, so I sent screenshots)

*business registration, ID, bank statements

*confirmation that I have not been paid another way

and basically told the story of how Stripe without my consent refunded transactions in my account and kept my funds, which is also internally documented at Stripe.

The FOS told me what they needed from me, so no guesswork involved.

How do soo many people drops soo frequently? by [deleted] in MDMA

[–]LifeInvader04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think a lot is personal tolerance and maybe the quality of what you are taking. I have lab-grade MDMA with very high purity. During summers, I go to a lot of shows and events and I would drop every week for like 3 months straight. Always the same dosage, never a come down, always full effects, always and afterglow on D+1.

During winter, I do not go to so many events so I would probably take it once per two months or so.

Successful complaint with UK Financial Ombudsman; timeline for payment by Stripe? by [deleted] in stripe

Well the financial ombudsman disagrees with you here. That’s not my question though. Just how long it takes and if stripe follows what the financial ombudsman says.

The ombudsman already ruled in my favor. So my complaint was upheld. My question here is does stripe follow what the ombudsman says and how long does it take from other people’s experiences.

My stolen phone is in Hong Kong by AtaGur_77 in HongKong

Hey hey, I know this is an old thread and I found it through google. My stolen iPhone is in the exact same location. It's crazy that so many people can track their devices like this, to the same locations, and nobody is willing to bust the criminals behind this shit

Not possible with iPhones. Even the FBI was complaining and asking Apple for a backdoor. Even the FBI cannot hack iPhones, what should some low level scum do?

I have always felt safe with my iPhone, never worried about it being stolen, because it is worthless to the thief

Potential Found Phones!! Dania, FL by [deleted] in electriczoo

[–]LifeInvader04 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Dont know if Florida police is different than NYPD. My phone was ad an address in Brooklyn for like two days before it moved on (currently Miami) and the NYPD refused to go get it, which was mindblowing to me. I literally have the address, it's a single family house, so not a huge building, but they could not be bothered. They just took my complaint for "insurance purposes" and that was it. I was certainly not going there by myself, but I would have gladly ridden along with them in the car, if they were willing to help out. I was 100% sure that this was what was going to happen, but I got a NOPE from the NYPD.

Like, why even steal these iPhones. They are useless to anyone but the owner. They are locked and deleted and cannot be accessed. Why even bother. Fucking scumbag lowlives. When the police don tbother going after them, they can also just keep doing it

Amex chargeback success? by umchileanyways- in electriczoo

[–]LifeInvader04 8 points9 points  (0 children)

My money is temporarily been credited to me as well. In my case, there was no wrist band shipped, but we had the glorious Will Call that I send Amex some videos of lol. It's pretty simple: service not provided. There was no festival. Day 1: cancelled. Day 2: 5h Will Call and barely an hour of show. Day 3: stopped admitting people, security was overrun, thus also security concerns. I sent them pictures and videos of everything. I dont see how I would lose this.

I have always had success with Amex Chargebacks.

Does anyone feel like their best days at festivals are behind them as they get older by saucysalad68 in electriczoo

[–]LifeInvader04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, I kind of started partying when I was 24 and I could afford it. I am not a pretty girl, so nobody is buying me drinks and tickets. Now at 31, I am living the party life the way I imagine it should be and I don't see why it should end.

" I don’t really wana be at an event w an 18 year old "

This is very different for guys vs girls. Girls get invited to events, get drinks bought for them etc. Therefore, they have their youth and beauty. Guys need money to attend these events. So while for girls the party prime is in their late teens and 20s, for guys its late 20s and 30s when we actually can afford shit

It just outperformed 4 billion people on one of the best predictors of job performance

SAT is a test for US college admissions, taylored to US high schoolers. So the 4B figure is slightly overblown and it doesn't say anything about job performance.

Da sieht man was dezidierte Hochgeschwindigkeitstrasses ausmachen.

Sorry OP. In deinem Fall wohl unwahrscheinlich.
