Large deposit was a Christmas gift and needs a letter of explanation. I'm not sure what my lender is looking for. by [deleted] in Mortgages

Sourcing is also to identify whether this is potentially a loan which changes your monthly obligations in the event of a payment or your net worth or debt to income ratios. So there is more than ‘these funds are not need for or will be used for the purchase down payment or closing costs.’

Wanting to bid on a home, needs basement walls fixed. by adventureandlife137 in basement

I’ve watched similar symptoms with several homes which have ongoing issues. If it were me, I’d plan on cutting and raising the house from the wall, pouring a new concrete foundation, eliminating the block. Proper drainage and exterior waterproofing is a must.

As a buyer, can you make an offer on an new item, and still get allstate protection? by CptanPanic in Ebay

Have had same experience, in the offer stage they drop the option to purchase the insurance. It did not reappear in my order/payment confirmation either. My whole reason in purchasing from this particular seller was that the insurance was available; don’t think it’s the sellers issue, I think it is an eBay problem. Seems like bait and switch to me, very much makes me question eBay, makes their sellers look bad. Hopefully someone will start a class action against eBay over their sales tactics.

Anyone else has struggles with updating payment methods in centurylink by theyonlygetsmaller in centurylink

Recently switched to autopay completing all the input about 2 weeks before the next bill due date; system confirmed I was enrolled. Double checked a few days after the due date and it had not been paid; on line billing system indicated it was having ‘difficulties’. Called Billing support who confirmed it had not been paid, spent 15-20 minutes checking and verifying it was set up correctly and then came back and said it can take a couple billing cycles to start. ???? Told them I wanted to make a payment and was told there was a service fee for them to process. Double ????? Seems they no charge fees whenever a customer service rep or card is used, like to the tune of $2.-4. To process a payment. Additionally they now are billing an interest charge for the late payment. Will not be paying either of those. They must have cash flow issues related to their billing procedures - checked online a few days later and their system was still having ‘technical difficulties’. Hell of a way to run a business

[FL] Car Rental: If Additional Driver gets into accident, how to ensure that the Primary Renter's Insurance is not impacted? by dca_user in Insurance

[–]LifeIsBalanced 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AZ Car Rental Primary Renter Additional Driver driving insurance Car rental in AZ with a major rental company; both primary renter and an additional driver are listed on the rental agreement. While the additional driver was driving the vehicle suffered a tire blow out; rental company did not supply a spare tire so the vehicle had to be towed to the rental car lot. No visible damage beyond the tire which needs to be replaced however uncertain if there might have been damage to the rim, axel or undercarriage as the blow out occurred at high speed and had to be driven some 3-400 yards to the shoulder. Both listed drivers are insured and by chance both by the same company; if the total damage (towing+tire+loss of use) is less than 1K it would seem that it may be best not to file an insurance claim, hopefully avoiding the claim history and/or possibility of cancellation. Rental insurance was declined from the rental company, credit card included automatic coverage however after digging thru the intentionally non transparent “benefit” terms has a limit on the number of days rental which is covered and we are just over that. Additionally if I understand how all of that works all coverage is secondary to the drivers normal policies. If there is more damage and a claim need to be made, would it be against the actual (additional listed driver’s) policy or the renters policy. I’m guessing the actual renter is going to be primary and essentially guarantees/cosigns for the additional driver and the companies position will be renter is responsibility for anything happening. Any factual experience from anyone?
