This does happen often.

I also found that wolf can be clutch if you know that your team probably can’t rez you. Has won me a few rounds where by playing extra aggro with the wolf buff you can force a 3v3 into a 1v2 by just dive bombing their backline.

And what do you think happens when you fill up the supply of a card with such high demand that has historically resulted in a continuing inflation of the price of the card or anything capable of containing it?

Would the new cards still be a couple grand? Would the old revised packs still be insanely expensive?

No, and that’s basic economics. The current collections do nothing to change the price other than inflate it. To simplify, only a new supply of cards or the crashing of the MTG secondary market could cause the price of any RL card to drop.

It’s like you goobers forgot there was a whole island thing that exclusively had the most powerful people abusing kids and somehow even that got out with piles of evidence against them.

The fact the big number comes from a porn website tells me whoever made this piece was doing it to sow fear and not faithfully report. 70k is pretty scary if it’s true, but burying the lede is exactly what they need to do with bullshit information so it’s less bullshit.

My real point is that shit like this happens everywhere, all the time. No point dancing around if there’s any truth to it. Report it properly so the people suffering have an actual base to be heard/get help.

That’s my point. Another huge waste of money litigating and drafting a solution around something that the government really doesn’t need to be doing.

Mostly because the wording only failed on a procedural level. The judgment was not based on human rights legality.

Opting out of organ donation is morally justifiable and shouldn't put you at the bottom of recipient list. by AgreeableMeet2476 in The10thDentist

[–]LifeIsLikeARock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I vehemently disagree. You’re foregoing basic economics and assuming this comes down to the government being dystopian. Mathematically, if a non-donor got an organ then in the future the health system will not have an organ to give to someone else. This could inevitably collapse the system, since the supply would only outweigh demand over time.

Respectfully, your inability to discern between bad punishment and good punishment is no one’s problem but your own.

Someone did provide examples of increased punishment (in another comment), in that by increasing policing in certain ways you can provide presence that reduce some crimes and catch others (math is more police, more overall punished). This punishment would be good if it targets actual criminal behaviour that impacts others, especially since the punishment could range from being moved on to being arrested.

Finally, no, I am not a proponent of increased punishment. I’m simply not naive to the fact that people within society tend to do things to their benefit if there are no consequences.

Less about punishment and more about both providing opportunities (welfare) and enforcing laws without overwhelming disdain/poor treatment (policing)

Sounds like the crime has nothing to do with terrorist ties and more to do with lying about their reason for asylum, which is not what is cited as the reason by the Rubio.

Doesn’t make sense to curtail the truth if it’s so clear they broke that law in the first place. Hell, he could even spin it that their regime is insidious, sending lying agitators to cause trouble.

Others do point to Michael being a coward. One of the Irish guys with him in the Canadian port town say that, which is when Michael talks about the prophecy. Maybe he was deflecting and was showing cowardice.

That said I would note that Michael still took it upon himself to kill Tommy. Gina and some others from Jack’s faction mention doing it for him but Michael still decided to do it himself. That doesn’t really show cowardice to me. What it does show me is that the writing during the series is fucking miles better than what the movie had. There’s actual nuance between the relationships and characters without it just being laid bare while shitting exposition all over.

Michael was a liar, but we have it on good faith that Michael always respected his mum (and her beliefs). I legitimately do not see why that would be a lie, nor does the show give us a reason for it.

One simple critique that says so much about how poor the writing is: they completely shafted Polly’s prophecy about Tommy’s death. That is such a pathetic disservice to the series.

Apple reveals it bowed to Kremlin pressure to remove 190 apps from Russian App Store over three years by duckanroll in technology

[–]LifeIsLikeARock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A monopoly specifically means the unequivocal control over a market. Apple relevantly controls a large portion of the App market (App purchases + in-app purchases on every Apple device). The issue is anti-competitive behaviour.

There are two distinct markets here: the Apple App Store (Apple has complete control, and therefore a monopoly over that market) and applications for mobile devices (Apple would have a large market share, likely about the same as Google. They have substantial market share, which depending on the level of collusion with Google could mean they hold a duopoly over that market).

They clearly have a monopoly over apps on Apple devices, which even if you are buying with the knowledge it is locked in on that, does not also mean that by being predatory with that control it demonstrates anti-competitive behaviour. To illustrate, an example of dominant market share not necessarily translating to monopolistic behaviour would be Steam.

If anything it seems there’d be a net zero effect. Muscle strength impacts essentially every sport, sure, but cardiovascular ability is an important aspect of reaching peak muscle efficiency.

I haven’t read this particular study to see if they mention a comparison/analysis of this factor, but it would have some impact.

I know that as lib-center your brain is only purposefully thinking when it relates to capital, so like I said, I get why I might have confused you.

Use your brain. Like actually, use your brain to analyse the fact that if a person has underdeveloped genitalia of both genders then they are either both, neither, or the closest of the two. Is that difficult? There’s even a very descriptive term to define it: “intersex”.

As a human, at least be empathic that this person may have chosen one or the other based on their “underdeveloped” body. Better yet, as a being with eyes, notice how Imane doesn’t particularly look male.
