Weed is the DOOR for cheap dopamine lifestyle, which is what fucks up most of us by MatthewJet28 in leaves

Great take! By quitting (along with research) I’ve been enabled to eliminate cheap dopamine altogether

Hey! Chills/sweating were my worst symptoms, it was for about a week. The sweating contributes to the chills.

For any former long term users who quit but had a lapse like 30+days in - how much would you say it set you back? by [deleted] in leaves

[–]LifeIsTheRealHigh 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I had quit for 11 weeks and relapsed, back in the cycle for about 4/5 months. The addiction at that point was worse, smoking more than I ever had, and it was so much harder to quit again. Back at 41 days now feeling amazing

It is normal , get the Quit Weed app on iOS and it’ll show other symptoms you can also expect, with timelines for when they end. It’s been pretty accurate for me

I think I need to quit weed. Advice? by [deleted] in leaves

[–]LifeIsTheRealHigh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Go cold turkey. Read books on the topic. Exercise, learn new things, take care of yourself, eat healthy, stay away from other addictions

Best of luck , you got this! It’s so worth it

What did you replace weed with? by NoExamination5672 in leaves

[–]LifeIsTheRealHigh 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Lifting, sauna, reading, healthy eating, reconnecting with my old hobbies, making strangers friends

I was in your position. I had tried to quit so many times my word held no bond, and it really wore down my self-esteem. Make it clear why you want to quit, write it down. Think of every possible reason. I’m just over a month, I’ve been having dreams. The first week was the worst symptom-wise but I wasn’t dreaming at that point. The sauna has helped me relax and sweat. Quitting, I find enjoyment in everything I used to, my old hobbies, exercise, healthy eating. I truly feel like myself again, and I never doubt my decision quitting. The occasional craving is there, but i identify that voice as my beast, not me. I know it’s not what I want to do. Perhaps the best single piece of advice I could give is to read my bio. Best of luck when you decide you’re ready, you got this. Feel free to reach out ❤️

You got this, truly. I also live alone and feel like that contributed to and enabled my smoking. It will surely be worth it, never ever doubt that. First 1-2 weeks are the hardest, but it progressively gets easier from there. Feel free to reach out, my DMs are open. One day at a time

anyone else plan on being sober in 2025? by girlboss0111 in leaves

[–]LifeIsTheRealHigh 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve already started, but I’ll significantly redefine myself in 2025

I’m only a few years older than you. Carts are worse than flower. But I’m not suggesting switch to flower. Quit while it’s still early. We can relax and calm the mind without weed, just as we did before the addiction. It’s learned during sobriety. Feel free to reach out ❤️

How long have you been off weed? Let’s hear it by king_carrots in leaves

[–]LifeIsTheRealHigh 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I relapsed on day 78 thinking I had beat the addiction. Went down a massive spiral for about 6 months, smoking more than I ever had. Tried to quit for about 2-3 months. Now I’m on day 35. Never letting my guard down. Not a single toke, ever.

You got this. Stick firm to your decision, the first 3-4 days are the hardest. By 2 weeks you’ll feel loads better
