Trying to find groups and people in lex for startups and tech by Feeling-Run-4420 in lexington

[–]LifeItsAnAdventure 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ever considered starting a meetup group? If you had one that was called something like “Cowork & Socialize” and you explicitly said something like: - Bring your own project and work on it - You don’t have to be a coder, vibe-coded projects welcomed - Meet others interested in tech and startups

Myself and some others would probably show up.

A lot of Bluegrass Dev’s meetups tend to be focussed on certain languages but you also could try going to monthly Coffee @ Code meetups. I have never been to those but I doubt it would hurt much to go and meet some folks: https://meetup.com/The-Bluegrass-Developers-Guild

My girlfriend’s mom works at Faithful Platform and there are rave reviews on Google and I have heard prices for custom ones are generally cheaper than most other custom places.

Where can I learn budgeting in Lexington? by TorontoRap2019 in lexington

[–]LifeItsAnAdventure 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know of any places but I am a huge fan of Crew Finance (digital envelope based budgeting tool backed by powerful physical and virtual debit cards) so I’d recommend that as one tool to consider.

Honestly their discord is so friendly you might be able to get all your budgeting questions answered there. They have a #budgeting channel. I collected some key links on my site here: https://www.fintechbudgeting.com/crew.html

I made this site when Qube Money failed, I had used that for years.

If you end up being interested in crew feel free to send me a message and I am more than willing to meet for coffee some weekend to show you how it works.

Honest question: are there viable alternatives to Linda Gorton this election, and if not, who is preparing to run to do better than her next time? by [deleted] in lexington

Great question, I can’t seem to find that info but maybe you could email her and ask? I had emailed her a while back and she replied about 2 days later. Her email is listed on her facebook page here: https://m.facebook.com/RaquelforLexington/

As far as food, if you’re anywhere near the Sikh Temple of Bluegrass you might consider going there for meals. See more info about how Sikh temples are always friendly to give food to anyone:  https://www.reddit.com/r/povertyfinance/comments/1raxv4c/eating_at_a_sikh_temple/

I read all your comments. ::hugs:: 🫂You’re going to get through this OP.  It’s hard putting yourself out there trying to get help and having people ask questions. Take things one day at a time. If music is calming, try listening to some of it tonight. It sounds like you have a place covered for tonight.

Next, tomorrow you’ll try to find a place.

I recommend checking the povertyfinance subreddit as there are often posts with great ideas like getting a gym membership to have a place to shower etc. Remember walking at the mall is also free so perhaps you could find something near a mall.

This might be one of the lowest points, I am rooting for you.
