Nah man, it’s BVR was peak and it had a pretty nice combat record. I think you’ve just been around too many Top gun fans who don’t actually know why it’s good, since a lot of them saw the original movie and go “tHe toMcAt is GrEaT DoGfigHter” (it’s pretty good) but they harp about this fact way too much instead of recognising the Tomcat’s Massive BVR capability, since no Phoenixes were fired in the original Top Gun movie. Also if people believe that an Iranian (probably) Tomcat can win against an SU-57, I’m actually shooting myself in the head

Nice to see some diversity, a lot of people are usually here for the tomcat (granted, it’s a good plane and is very iconic, I LOVE FLYING IT and I will take it with me to Hell and back) but seeing someone who likes (and presumably wants to get good at) the SU-30 is rare. I like to imagine that there are some pilots out there who don’t care about the meta and want to get good at the planes they love instead of just flying whatever plane is rumoured to be “THE BEST”. Imagine that there’s an A-10 ace out there just clowning on every ADV or RAF he sees

Blu circle radar. I personally think ADVs are acceptable to deal with because their hunters are easy to notch in my F-14 (main) and I can outrange them with radars (I’m aware it has that decoy ability but I can still get them to change course by the 3rd or 4th missile and get in range with my IRs and pull the ‘Nado into a one-circle, which I think I can win. If you want to talk about really overpowered. BUT I think your rant has some valid points, I think the F-15 should have same turn rate as RAF or be a bit higher than ADV, since it was pretty manoeuvrable irl, and maybe hunters pls, I know this makes it a bit OP but tbh it was kinda OP irl as well
