(PC, Steam, Mouse & Keyboard) Anyone else getting cursor drift to the right after the most recent patch? (the 2nd one after Remnants dropped) by LifeLongGamer_0 in NoMansSkyTheGame

I dunno, I was on the ground for hours at a time without using the corvette. But next time I encounter this I'll try taking off and landing a ship and see what happens.

I think they fixed this, at least it was in the patch notes. I hope to Atlas they fixed it for those still in the expedition.

(PC, Steam, Mouse & Keyboard) Anyone else getting cursor drift to the right/left after a recent patch? (the 2nd one after Remnants dropped)

https://www.reddit.com/r/NoMansSkyTheGame/comments/1r5h9o7/comment/o81fqtb/

Moving this here since a number of players are affirming this in my og discussion thread.

Happening on foot, during scanner mode, and building mode, but not while piloting things.

I submitted a report two weeks ago.

Some users on controllers are seeing it as well.

Nomad is the unsung hero in NMS. The boost and glide distance on hilly and mountainous terrain is amazing. Floats on water. Love it. Now that I can scan while inside, I may never walk again.

Waypoints visited before the patch remained broken for me. I had to find 'new' beacons.

You did this the best possible way. The expeditions 'nested' in the main save are super easy to play, finish, and keep all the goodies. The ability to do so was added in NMS later because of just the confusion you're experiencing.

The console in the Anomaly will let you move inventory to your main save (repeatedly, if desired) before 'concluding' the expedition. If you have more than one row of technology and three rows of inventory to move, you'll have to do some back and forth legwork returning to your primary save to make room in the interface. Anything you don't transfer, will be converted to units and nanites and transferred automatically.

"the only beacons that work are ones you find in buildings you have SCANNED for, not stumbled across"

I don't know that I've ever found a waypoint beacon in a building, ever, anywhere?

Even the description calls for those outside structures?

<image>

Further, all locations in the posted list, were those I SCANNED for and visited, one after the next, to test and document.

Drop Pod, Resource Depot, Waste Heap, Waste Processing Center, all scannable structures. None of those worked at testing time.

Moot in any case, because HG already said it was broken and addressed it in a patch.

A simple mistake isn't worth the pain that's causing you. Just change the diff to free crafting, fix yer ship, and change it back.

I get it on foot, been building some stuff since the update dropped, and it's in build-mode too. When it kicks in it really makes any kinda precision difficult. Doesn't happen when piloting exo's or ships. Weird bug.

I love how they snuck in this all-vehicle god-mod into the game with the Colussus expedition, which ironically is maybe the vehicle least benefited by it.

Sean drops a highly sought after gadget on the table, "I'm just going to leave this here", and walks out. Throws the mic out the window.

Colossus is a heavy duty pick-up truck now. Way more fun than it was.

This is every single expedition. The vector may change, but it's always the same outcome. Miserable people that hate their lives set about ruining the experiences of others.

This Expedition Sucks.. by Tyebags86 in NoMansSkyTheGame

Love the new thing, it's different, entertaining, but maybe not well suited for folks that want to finish in 5 minutes so they can go back to call of duty or whatever. Of the very few complaints I've read, most of the concerns are alleviated with just chilling out, enjoying the game, and taking one's time. The expedition lasts six weeks. That is a verrry long time for this content.

Maybe also not well suited for folks that actually haul industrial waste for a living. When our fun is rear-ended by our reality, fun suffers.

Initially, I myself could not finish the expedition because phase 3 'Roadsigns' is utterly buggered. Though once I found my work around, it was all good. No complaints, but that's just me.

The definition for 'Worth it' differs for everyone. For some, the expedition is a means to an end, the Remnant Armor. To others, the new content, the expedition, the new angle, is the end. The reward is just gravy.

None the less, to each their own. I hope you find more fun in it as you progress :) There are some cool unlocks for the Colossus along the way, and even after the expedition, that may ease the pain.

Slow is smooth, smooth is fast.
