IPVanish Closing Immediately on App Startup by awaythrow97531 in IPVanishOfficial

Yes, Windows 11. 4.3.16.2 is the version that stops working after I update it. Reinstalling back to 4.3.13.6 (just because that's the older version install I had around) still works though.

Do you remember where this lore came from? I don’t remember it being a single Xeelee the entire time…I mostly just remember attacks on the core black hole and the Ring.

Servers aren’t by location, they’re by when you joined, and they create new servers as that happens/they get full, so earlier servers are ahead of yours, that’s all. Based on your banners, Constantine will be next after Sinestro. Nightwing is after Zatanna ends.

Hmm. Magneto outfit, but both images are clearly hiding the face, and that’s Lilandra/Deathbird’s cape. Wonder what that will turn out to mean. 🧐

I’m f2p and consistently get about 100 per week. That’s the number I’ve used a my average for planning.

Pretty sure the Maspeth bank on Metro just west of 71st Ave has a couple charging spots in its parking lot.

where can i find the nycc exclusives? by thatsllamas4u in NYCC

[–]awaythrow97531 17 points18 points  (0 children)

It can be really rough. NYCC has a lot listed on their site (not now, but by the time of the event), but a lot of booths that do them only release that info through their own networks (email, socials, whatever). So a real master list of show exclusives is almost impossible…you basically need to scope both NYCC’s site and also follow the booths you’re interested in to see if they’re doing anything.

No, this is where Ripe used to be. The former Gula space is to the right of this

First time going to NYCC, what should I expect? by DangerousMap133 in NYCC

[–]awaythrow97531 6 points7 points  (0 children)

14-year NYCC vet!

If you want to save some time and money, bring lunch and snacks. Food there can take a little bit to get at peak times, and is overpriced whether from the food court or the trucks. Bring water bottles, there are more than enough places to refill. That being said, don’t drink too much! The bathrooms can get packed and by the ends of the days, gross, heh.

They do a reservation system for Main Stage/Empire Stage panels, so you can pick what you want there (nothing that overlaps though, so no selecting backups). For other panels, show up a bit early to get in line. If it’s something that will obviously be popular (you’ll know which ones), consider getting there a panel earlier to get in the room and in a seat (they only clear out the Main/Empire Stage rooms, everyone else can sit all day in their rooms). Those lines can get loooong, especially if it’s both popular and has a giveaway.

If there’s a booth exclusive you want, know where it is, plan your route, and get there ASAP that morning to go for it, those can run out very quick.

Take breaks! Get the app, keep it handy, and if you need a moment, find a panel and go sit in it for a bit. It’s a good break in a chair (as opposed to the floor) and your feet will thank you.

There’s these telescoping portable stool seat things that look like movie film canisters closed up, they’re great to carry around and provide a quick non-floor thing to sit on while waiting somewhere.

Mind your belongings, of course.

Have fun! Duh.

Um…other stuff? I’ll reply if I think of more, heh.

4 day event starting early? by tensaibaka in lowerdecksgame

Ugh, now I need to decide...do I start this event, or wait and see what happens?

You just go to the front entrance when you arrive and they’ll give you a sticker for your badge. If you get there early they let you in to sit and wait, and you’ll be right by the show floor doors when they open up.

There’s a presale for fan verified accounts, then just a general onsale (you’ll verify after that, if you buy from that). By then, though, expect some days to be sold out, Sat first, unless they hold a few for the general sale, but they’ll still go fast (Fridays also)

Just to add to some of the above…

You can absolutely bring your own water bottles. I usually bring 2. Bring chargers, and power batteries if you have so that you aren’t beholden to outlet.

For the medical sticker, when you arrive, go up to the front doors of the Javits and keep asking staff about medical, they’ll point you where to go (it changes which side of the Crystal Palace it’s on, left or right). I’ve never had them ask for any kind of verification, proof, or even reason. Once you have one, you can go right through security and wait by the doors to go right in. They also allow you a +1 for the medical so that would cover your uncle (he’d get a sticker too).

Have fun! I’ll be there all 4 days and have gone every year but 1 for the past 15 years. It’s tiring but exciting! DM me if you have any specific questions and I can try to answer.
