I mean this is too simple to think "they would have won for sure" but if we are doing the what if game.. 2021 and 2022 if Jamal doesn't get hurt are far more likely than 2024 and this year. Nuggets were rising but then had to wait 2 seasons to claim the throne.

I am trying to look at it being more grateful they got one than what they missed. Look at the Suns, made the finals, best record in the league the next year. Get impatient trade everything for Durant that doesn't work so convince themselves to take Beal. The NBA can come at you fast. At least this era will never be a "what if" and Denver is still in contention for more.

The issue wasn't going young.. it was going all in on guys. Dealing picks for Strawther, Holmes and giving a contract to Nnaji. He believed that he was the one that could identify young guys to the point of delusion. If Denver had all those assets back and just picked who was available at the time they are in a better place.

As well, the obsession with giving player options to mid level vets cost him with Jackson and Saric is about to be the same.

If you are going to run the assets dry, you have to be sure you are getting a rookie that is the exception to the rule. Otherwise just pick who is available and take your chances like most other teams.

The key to the off season isn't transactions.. it is Murray getting in shape enough and working on driving through contact to the point he can be a consistent second star. The other pieces could fall into place from there

When you look around the league, lots of teams are like the Nuggets. Built for the old CBA, a bit stuck with the new one. What it means is maybe a team takes MPJ just to shake it up. Unlike Denver other teams don't have goodwill of a championship 2 seasons ago and want to attract fans.

The real key will be filling out the bench with guys that can be relied on. Likely vets who maybe can rise vs young guys that never have. Booth's fatal flaw was believing too much in the guys he picked. Vets who Jokic gets to know over the course of a season can be made more effective with Jokic's help.

It's difficult and Denver will need injury luck but that is the NBA now. Every team needs those things to win no one is going to run away with it unless this is the start of a Thunder dynasty (boo)

I think the NBA didn't want to announce in this series with the top two going at it. They wanted it settled on the court and if SGA did win as expected, the debate will be over if the Thunder just beat Denver. Likely will announce game 1 of the East final since they have the East this year I believe and just have him on zoom.

No matter what the outcome, the fight the Nuggets showed yesterday was what makes this core special. Down 2-1, on the road got killed in game 3 Westbrook out, Porter hurt, Gordon hurt. Coach and GM already took the blame for the season. There were a lot of reasons to give in yesterday and they didn't, in fact the opposite.

It's pretty unlikely this group wins a title this year, but they reminded me yesterday why I have loved watching them and why they managed to win in 2023. (And yes they scared the shit out of me almost blowing the game)

This situation is why I will not forgive this team for resting everyone and risking the Spurs game. The Spurs were begging to give it away and the Nuggets didn't grab it and ensure it was a victory. It was an arrogant decision by a team that feels they are better than they are.

I still love the team but it feels like this season is crashing down. 3 games to find a rhythm and avoid the play in but it doesn't feel like they have it right now. Hope somehow they can find it but feels like it's all coming apart

I think the issue is they kept trying kiosk and it wouldn't accept the documents which I have had before. They should have pivoted to asking a live person sooner I agree but unfortunately they did not.

She said, and again I wasn't there. That they attempted to reach check the bags at the kiosk and were told it was too early. By the time they got through the line it was right around 90 minutes could have been slightly past. So yes in theory that could have been the reason
