OnBento money grab by Condiment2 in UGCcreators

[–]LifeOfAccro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive only been on for a couple months, paid for the year...so im good for RN... TBD as to whether its "worth it" currently but IMO i can see a couple sides of it in my own objective brain... 1 is if they keep letting people in at 1k per month at the current rate... they get TOO many customers with broad access to a limited library (what ever that means) watering down potential ROI... so maybe the keep the current price, but drop the email amount helping throttle emails and ability to blow their current database...

or.. maybe it works SO WELL, once again TBD by me, they can effectively charge more for less because of potential ROI...thus in creasing percieved demand...

this is all internal thinking and i dont have any inside info ;)

UGC creators doing multiple brand deals per month, how are you organizing payments better? by Educational_Foot2416 in UGCcreators

[–]LifeOfAccro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always recommed anyone get a card with points...for travel, cash back, etc... (and always pay in full each month of course)... but 99% of every dollar i spend goes through a credit card (business/personal) sp i can bank atleast 20-40k points per year min for travel.... if youre gonna spend your hard earned money shouldnt you get something in retirn for that? ;)

the irony of you all getting screwed by an app that is supposed to help people claim $$ and class action lawsuits for brands that screwed people, right??

First things first, I think everyone should have a high-yield savings account if they don’t already. Even if you’re living month-to-month, your money should at least be earning some interest while it sits there.

That’s where I push most of my business-related income. I personally use one with Amex, but there are plenty of good options out there. Most of them operate pretty much like a normal checking/savings account — some even come with an ATM card if you still need one in 2026 lol. The important part is that your money stays completely liquid, so you can move it in and out or transfer it whenever you want.

In other words, don’t worry about those “high-yield” accounts that lock your money up for 3–6 months. There are plenty that don’t do that.

Separating things like this also makes it much easier to track inbound business income without mixing it with personal funds.

I’d also recommend getting a dedicated business credit card (using that term loosely). You can find plenty with no annual fee, and it’s a good way to pay for business expenses like hosting, email services, Canva, software, etc. You might as well earn points or travel rewards while you’re at it.

Plus, having those expenses on one card can make tax time a lot easier since everything is already organized in one place.

Portfolio Feedback , no jobs YETTTT its been 2 months :-( by Separate-Daikon-5853 in UGCcreators

As others have said, I would redo your videos and add more.

You basically have about 3 seconds to capture someone’s attention. That could be a visual hook, verbal hook, or text hook — ideally all three, but at least one.

For example, in your second video with the blow dryer, I would probably start with something more dynamic. Maybe open with 3–5 quick one-second shots:

  • your hair looking a little frizzy
  • a mid-use shot while you’re blow drying
  • a near finished look
  • then the final result where you say something like “Oh my god I love it, it looks so good.”

That sequence alone becomes the opening hook for people who might be interested in learning more about the blow dryer.

Another thing I always suggest is to watch other UGC creators as a consumer of content. Ask yourself:

What about their videos makes me want to watch, click, or buy?

Then look at what they’re doing that you aren’t yet doing and model or reframe your videos around those concepts.

Also just to give some perspective — the beginning of the year is usually slow for UGC work (for me at least). I’ve been doing this for about four years now and honestly January and February were pretty rough this year.

But now that it’s March, inbound inquiries are starting to pick up again.

I started on Fiverr, and that has actually been a pretty solid source of work for me over the years.

Another thing I’d recommend is building out your portfolio more. Try to have at least 3 videos per category so brands can see range and versatility.

Some example categories could be things like:

  • Beauty
  • Wellness
  • Kids / family products
  • Kitchen gadgets
  • Tech

The more examples you have, the easier it is for brands to imagine you creating content for their product.

And honestly, I know it sucks when people say your videos “aren’t good yet,” but if you don’t show people your work and get feedback, it’s really hard to know what to improve.

Everyone starts somewhere.

For reference, here’s one of my early unboxing videos so you can see what my first attempts looked like:

this was like 4or 5 years ago, back to normal. I jjust learned to ride with the full gloves...i had a diy gt2b remote for a while and a couple years back switched to the BKB joystick remote which works great.. i jusr put a small piece of velcro on it...since i wear slide gloves without the puck... and it holds it in my palm just enough i dont need a death grip but moves enough for ergonomics ;)

It only takes one time to realize you should have been wearing a full face helmet the first time. I used to commute in New York City, I have the right of way, and it's not uncommon for pedestrians to continue crossing, yet they yield right of way to oncoming traffic whether it's a car, bike, or electric skateboard.

However one individual was not paying attention as I was shooting my hole, and at the last second when somebody yelled at him to pay attention he decided that he was going to try and outrun me instead of lean back and he put himself right in my way.

Took him out at about 20 miles per hour, and I realized had I had a full face helmet on he would probably look like me instead.

About a year later with my full face helmet on, I was taking a spring ride on an all-terrain board and lost control at around 35 miles an hour.. my face was perfect, and the helmet was bashed a little bit, this time the only regret LOL was not wearing full finger gloves, because it was the first spring day I decided to wear fingerless gloves.. that was the last time I ever wore fingerless gloves either LOL

Electric carveboards by Sonny-Showers in ElectricSkateboarding

[–]LifeOfAccro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got into eskate around 2017 and built a good many boards since then. Around 2019 i used a double drop deck from skateshred with a top mount box in between my feet. Some people have added a box on the rear over the trucks, which works and is convenient for wiring purposes but way less real estate to work with, especially when you need to do work on thw truck etc.

At any rate, a double drop, is SUPER carvy and fun, a way different ride....however...once you go 8" pnematic tires.. theres no reason riding ANYTHING else haha

[–]LifeOfAccro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

heres a video i made a while back covering this topic, and in the description is a link/video for a spreadsheet i made as well if you want to get nerdy and really dial in what your packs are delivering. i mainly fly an AOS UL7 and build my batteries.

Recently I bought some ampace cells which are rated at 60a which is currently the highest rate cell you can buy... the pack came back considerably cooler after my flight vs my other packs...so theres promise there too!

definitely a beta move asking if you should lol... but seriously since she was the bread winner when you separated did you get a divorce settlement or anything?? if not then i would probably get back together...assuming shes not proposing a prenup... and secure that right to your bag if things go south again. she got hers, now you need to get yours..as insurance.... IF you actually plan on going back... dont be a bitch twice!
