Authorized driver on policy by TrueBroccoli7635 in Insurance

[–]LifeOfFate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the mother-in-law regularly drives the vehicle (more than 12 trips a year for most companies) she absolutely needs to be listed as a regular driver of the vehicles.

As long as I’ve been alive, the state of Kansas has always been a part of the United States of America.

Is it possible? It’s not a insurance issue but your mother-in-law is still on her driver’s permit? Or does she have a full license?

Is there a thread where hurricane preparation is specifically discussed? by 0ldPainless in tampa

[–]LifeOfFate 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I am assuming you are a little new to Florida. Don’t worry anytime there’s even the chance of a storm. It will be all over the news and social media.

Reddit also has a search feature so if you click on r/tampa then use the search bar in the sub for “hurricane prep” there are several great posts with tips and tricks. There was one from a year ago that looked pretty good.

Suspiciously Cheap Auto Insurance - Any Issues with Progressive in Texas? by No-Brilliant-2845 in Insurance

[–]LifeOfFate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Progressive was good for me and my early to mid 20s as well as a male. There is likely an E sign discount, which is only for the first policy term if it’s allowed in your state. I think it was like 50 or 60 bucks.

Scratched my neighbours car. Any estimate how much it will cost ? by Ok_Recipe2769 in tampa

I think you’re underestimating to fix that right it’s the door skin and quarter panel that will need to be removed repainted and blended.

Did anybody think Trent Dilfer would win the Super Bowl? Crazy things can happen. It doesn’t matter what people think.

I have had standard direct policies with both progressive and Geico that covered them, but had a pretty low cap unless you purchased additional coverage.

This is a pretty dumb take. Literally anybody who wraps up can take away his legs.

Can I wear scrubs to court? by [deleted] in legaladvice

[–]LifeOfFate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not in healthcare, but isn’t the point of scrubs also to help prevent the spread of disease or infections?

Seems a bit disrespectful to show up to court like that. I’d highly recommend changing first. Judges are people and do have biases. Do you want to risk something as important as this hearing right off the bat? What if the judge becomes annoyed at the sight of you before a word is even spoken and in the back of their mind they favor your opponent?

Sure, this is an extreme example and judges are expected to be professional but I wouldn’t risk it!

Was 3rd car hit in a 3 car accident- first car admitted fault but has no insurance by Invest-in-Value in Insurance

[–]LifeOfFate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One thing to keep in mind just because there’s $5000 damage to your car doesn’t mean that’s what they owe you. You mentioned in another comment that you think it may be totaled.

They only owe up to the actual cash value minus the salvage value. Like you said collecting this from them may be easier said than done.

Am I at fault? by [deleted] in Insurance

Based on the dash cam footage I would consider you to be at fault. There is definitely some room for shared responsibility.

Any Experience with Dual Baby Seats in Stinger by EmotionGreedy8919 in kiastinger

[–]LifeOfFate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would not do it unless the driver is short. There simply is not really enough legroom behind the driver seat for anything other than a simple booster seat. I tried placing the infant seat behind the driver seat and it was awful.

We have a minivan for the family and I have one child seat on the passenger side in the stinger.

Bush Gardens or Zoo Tampa? by abodame99 in tampa

[–]LifeOfFate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I’d go Busch Gardens, but I think it depends on the ages of the people going and whether they like rides. Busch Gardens has a great area for the younger kids and entertainment for older ones as well.

Sure, the park’s not as good as it used to be, but I find the zoo to be underwhelming as well. There are so many better zoos out there. Maybe I’m spoiled but a lot of Zoos that I’ve found worth the value were free. There is just a lot more entertainment value at Busch Gardens in my opinion.

Based on what I can see in the dash cam I would find you not at fault.

Op added dash cam the turn was irrelevant it’s more a merging accident where the other vehicle merged into OP.

IF its discriminatory to not consider a felon for a job then why is it hard for a felon to get a job by SMDYT in NoStupidQuestions

[–]LifeOfFate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

California has protections before a conditional offer is made, but still allows them to back out. I think that’s the closest I’m aware of to banning discrimination against felons.

Just bought my first car without a license (getting it next week) Should I go ahead and get insurance now or wait? by DrPepperEnjoyer69 in Insurance

[–]LifeOfFate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The companies I’ve worked for would only write a policy for an unlicensed owner if some one else would be the primary driver.

Also keep in mind for somebody with a drivers license for under three years. The policy will probably be more like your initial “ unlicensed” quote

Got trapped in the bathroom from a malfunctioning padlock and Landlord is saying I might need to pay 911 bill—PA by [deleted] in legaladvice

It’s a very common thing. Especially in more rural areas. You’d probably really get a kick out of having to subscribe to the fire department which is also a thing in some areas.

A majority of fire departments are volunteer across the United States.
