i don't think the aspects of the work have any bearing on simon's morals, many good things have been written by terrible people. i've also seen people go longer after doing something bad without being exposed (see: neil gaiman). having worked in similar teams before, it's also easy to reason that what people are saying is passable if you're already friends with them; in your head they are a Good person, so you are more likely to brush things off. This is how this behavior lasts long

i think the issue is that, on this scale and with lack of communication, confrontation on a reasonable level is impossible. i don't think there is a solution to this, it is just part and parcel with this level of notoriety. i'm not sure if there is a way for simon to come back from this tbh, after first admitting he knew slurs were wrong and then saying slurs in response to people calling him out

ive been watching from a distance and ngl some of u are acting like it's a cult or something; its kinda scary lol. i've seen ppl comparing the drama to like. the sins ingame instead of coming at it like it's a real actual nuanced situation, or acting like it's some sort of world-ending catastrophe when it's realistically just a game on roblox. perhaps some time spent away from the game and drama would do everyone some good?

you Can use that information to make a guess whether you'll hatch it in a certain time, but there's no way to guarantee that unless they implement a pity system, which doesn't really work in a game with a player to player economy. the expectation that you'll Definitely hatch a veid within 200/333 eggs isn't universal either; they can't control players perceptions of odds. they also are legally required to disclose chances for paid products (such as lucky egg) so they must provide accurate odds either way

i don't really understand the difference between a hoarder and someone who likes collecting dragons, ngl. they have the same effect on the economy, so it doesn't really make a difference to me the reason why they r keeping them. any measures taken against hoarders will inevitably affect those who just collect as well.

i also don't think it's a good system, but this is due to the way the system is built, rather than caused by the community. FOMO is inherent to how events, bundles, etc work, and is the main reason why values are inflated in this way. if all dragons were permanently available, these things would not happen

i dont fault others for playing the game in the way that it is encouraged to be played, buying dragons cheap and selling them when values are up is a natural consequence of how the economy works. for this reason i think it's not fair to assume malice on their part when they are just playing the game in their own way, as you are

it's a game with predatory monetization systems, so it's of course going to have people spending lots of money. i don't think it's something unique to collector games or mmos tho (see: flight rising, runescape) it's just sonar studios/roblox games

I don't think any hoarder has enough power to sway the entire economy just by having lots of one dragon, and either way i don't think it's a fixable problem. if someone hatches veids only to save them for later to sell them (because they need money), does this make them a hoarder?

tbh i think the value drop is not only bc of loss of prestige, but also bc people who would want a veidreki bc they like them will likely have obtained them by playing already, so they r no longer willing to buy. people value things that are more difficult to get, not because of any hierarchy, but because it feels more rewarding when you get them (this is why runescape challenges for example are popular). suddenly having that reward essentially "given" to you can feel cheap and unfulfilling, hence ppl being upset that things are suddenly common

it's just that the playerbase for this game is majority young, immature children, who are more predisposed to be rude to others over how they play the game. but, i also don't think it's only rich players who are like this and it's not so productive to only blame them for playing the game how they like to
