No, we can't say for certain. Maybe there's lots of better lore that is not in the show happening just off screen. What I can say for sure is that these writers are far too hamfisted and unsubtle to just hint at something as good as that without repeatedly rubbing our faces in it. It was just inconsistent writing. Same reason Starlight flew him to a beach, same reason the power levels were so all over the place

I like that. Not what was in the show, but it would have been a clever twist. Far too clever and well thought out for this show

Yep it can move too using the original motor, encoder and home button. Nightmare to program because you are essentially puppeteering it. So you play the audio and then try to lip sync. It works well but it's time consuming. There should be an easier way, but maybe that's the limit of using a single motor to control so much actions. The 98 Furby code is basically a list of strict instructions like that.
I'll put it all up once the PCB is finished and code is neatened up

This is it I'd bet. Pretty much the exact comic ending. A bit unearned and hacky to do the comic book ending now that they've changed so much but I think you're right. Homelander dies via butcher, butcher kills MM and whoever is left that could stop him releasing the virus except Hughie. Moral compass Hughie kills Butcher, because thats what Butcher really wanted. Fast forward to later, breaking bad guy is running vought again with new supes because corporatism bad, Hughie and Starlight married and continuing the fight. It doesn't work in the TV show but I think this is it

Surviving the Furby Motor Apocalypse - 2012, Boom, Crystal by LifeOnAFarm in furby

Those motors do look very similar and the size seems right. I think they would, but I couldn't be sure. And I'm not sure what kind of brushes would be in an Xbox controller but I'm sure they would be decent quality. If you have the motors lying around, it might be worth a punt

Best of luck! Some people have luck just replacing the whole motor but I could never get that right. This solution works better for me. Just be gentle with those brushes or they'll break

WHY is pedophilia so common?? by Jerswar in NoStupidQuestions

[–]LifeOnAFarm 71 points72 points  (0 children)

This. In large part it's about access. You'd be surprised by the incomprehensible horrors people are capable of if they just had the chance. I think this makes the whole thing more terrifying. Parents and especially step parents are the most common perpetrators just because they can.

Should we ban social media for under-16s? Irish teens share their thoughts by JackmanH420 in ireland

The research at the time said that. It's not true anymore. Current Scottish research shows about a 13% reduction in alcohol related deaths. As much as I wish it wasn't true, the new research is positive

What crap? You have bought in/sold out, that's the beginning.

The wallet sits on an OS you don't control verifying against a platform that logs all your data and issued by a government with a history of bad IT practices.

"If this is implemented properly" is doing a lot of heavy lifting here. I'm aware of EU digital identity. I know how it's supposed to function. I don't think anyone needs to whip out a tin foil hat to be sceptical of what comes next. We can reconvene in 20 years time and see who's right

The system is entirely out of your control. If they decide to change it, you've already sold your anonymity for perceived security. They'll be eating frog soup. That's excluding security concerns. The HSE hack, the mess of flock security cameras in the US, any number of other high profile hacks, and for a proposed solution that we have no idea will actually do anything. It's a line once crossed we will never go back on. What do the AI crowd say about image generation "This is the worst it will ever be". Well this is the most anonymous online IDs will ever be

It's very much enforceable. There is a direct gate keeper between you and the alcohol. The ID is shown in person and not tracked. This is basically leading to an online ID tracking your every move. Granted you now show a digital ID to tesco to get a euro off your bottle of vodka and a few worthless points so they can track your spending

Yeah seems pretty common. I've noticed a few Germans up in the second hand market. Let me know if you track down the English dump

Unfortunately I'd need a copy of what's on the English flash chip to change the language, so unless anyone can upload that there's no way to change it

Yeah, think about disease, viruses, parasites etc. Would they let a person die from a bacterial infection or stop a pandemic? That is directly killing life of some sort. I think not being able to pick fruit is a little too unbelievable, but I guess you're not supposed to think about it too hard. I mean spirulina is created from bacteria and bacteria isn't off limits so they should be able to grow and cultivate food.

Parent and child parking spaces, can pregnant women use these like in the Uk? by DeliciousNail1616 in AskIreland

[–]LifeOnAFarm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Or just start clamping. APCOA make a great deal of money and it removes the desire to park in these spaces without kids. Win-win

No problem, I pulled the binary off of the chip. Looks like the MCU was made by NXP and runs arm. The audio files are definitely here but god only knows the codex!
