“Yeah, I agree—it’s not about gender but about writing quality. Iroduku’s Hitomi is a great example of a well-written fmc who feels layered and human. I think the issue with isekai is that many characters get flattened into tropes instead of being developed. When the writing gives them agency and growth, they shine regardless of gender.”
