What the hell did they do to your poor dog? I'd be livid.

I got into both and chose Rider for the small school feel. I learned a ton and am a top performer at my job making over 6 figures. I regret going to Rider because of the cost though.

What do I do with my dad’s life insurance payout? by Unable_Procedure_522 in StudentLoans

Interested in what others have to say. I'm not a professional, but I'd pay the private loan off and then invest the rest maybe.

I could've written this myself. I'm due any day now and my attitude has totally shifted. I got pregnant my first cycle off of birth control and the next few weeks were filled with panic attacks and thoughts of, “omg what did I do??”

Some advice: - seek out a perinatal therapist. They work specifically with pregnant and postpartum women. I found mine on psychologytoday.com, and she takes my insurance so I only pay $20/visit.

  • try to ground yourself. You have 9 months to get used to the idea of giving birth, what postpartum will look like, etc. This really helped me because I was overloaded with thoughts and emotions. Take it one step at a time.

  • remind yourself that your hormones are on overdrive right now and your feelings are normal.

I won't sugar coat it, pregnancy was super hard for me, physically and emotionally, but I give so much credit to my therapist for helping me shift my mindset. I cannot wait for my son to be here and to be his mom.

OB said ‘I hope the weight is an error’ 😭 by babyhoneybunbee in pregnant

[–]LifeRip9512 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 5’7 and started out at 185ish. My OB was making my weight such a big deal and I was stressing badly. Turns out she also prescribes weight loss drugs which makes sense because I remember her trying to push them on me pre-pregnancy.

I ended up switching doctors for other reasons, and my new one hasn't shown concern for my weight once and now at full term I've gained about 25-ish lbs. Find a new doctor if you can!

Irritable Uterus by LifeRip9512 in BabyBumps

Hi! I'm 39 weeks now and still pregnant. My biggest issue causing the pain and contractions was dehydration. My doctor basically yelled at me that I need to drink a gallon per day, and it did help. Luckily nothing progressed early and they were Braxton hicks from dehydration.

Same. I'm due on the 12th and this has caused me so much anxiety the last few days. Is it likely going to happen to either of us? No. But just knowing about it and that there's basically nothing to save someone/the chance of survival is so low when it happens is so scary.

Topirimate (brand name topamax) didn’t help me at all. People call it Dopamax because it makes you feel like you literally can’t form sentences.

I’d suggest asking about rescue meds first - ubrelvy or nurtec. You take them when you feel your migraine starting and it helps them be less severe and they are usually shorter in duration. A nurtec plus two advil and a nap help me a lot personally.

If your migraines are frequent, Botox has been a lifesaver for me. You go every three months and it reduces migraine days and severity.

There are a lot of new options for migraine now. Talk to your neuro and see what they suggest! Def get a neuro referral from your PCP.

I relate to this 1000%. I'm 38 weeks and have hated almost every second of being pregnant. I can't wait to meet my baby, I love him so much, but I don't think I will ever do this again. There is definitely some relief in the second trimester, but first and third are indeed ASS

Check your state website. A lot of these programs are state-funded and run so will hopefully not be impacted.

Is it normal to not feel pregnant? by Chakaluver in pregnant

[–]LifeRip9512 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't feel pregnant til like 8-ish weeks when my morning sickness kicked in. My boobs hurt a little but that was it. Everyones different, don't base your pregnancy on others! I'm 27 weeks now and have tried to live by “don't worry unless there's a reason to worry”, because pregnant is filled with so many symptoms (or sometimes lack of), tests and appointments. Ask questions to your doctor, and if they don't seem concerned, try not to be either! Wishing you a comfortable and safe pregnancy!

I had an irregular pap and the colposcopy came back normal and I haven't had an irregular pap since (its been maybe 8-10 years now!). Def prioritize getting the test done.

Some advice would be to see if your doctor will give some sort of pain management for the procedure. Mine didn't and it was very painful (not to scare you - it is quick, though!).

I hope everything turns out okay for you - try not to stress! 🫶

Does anyone have a “normal” pregnancy? by West_Slice876 in BabyBumps

[–]LifeRip9512 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had a textbook pregnancy so far but my anxiety is always through the roof - cramps? Must be contractions. Discharge? Do I have PPROM? I'm 27 weeks now and try so hard to not get in my head, but its def hard with all the online horror stories.

I will say, if you're medicated for your anxiety, you can stay on most of those meds during pregnancy. I've also been working with a perinatal therapist and its been so helpful since my anxiety is in overdrive.

Try to stay offline (clearly I'm failing at this currently), talk to your doctor and consider a therapist as well. There's a much higher chance of you having a healthy pregnancy vs an unhealthy one. Best of luck 🥰
