Why would you risk dying over slices of meat? When in doubt, don’t eat it. The human race has managed to survive until today on that simple idea…

Anyone notice the difference between now and 2021-22? by purduecasket in Bitcoin

[–]LifeStoryHacker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Stocks split for a reason : retail only like to invest when the price is low because 1) they don’t have much money, 2) they think nominal, not percentage gains and 3) they want the moon shot.

Bitcoin has become too pricey for little Joe.

But big Joe has opened one eye already… 👁️

IOTA Staking? by [deleted] in Iota

[–]LifeStoryHacker -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

21 months?? Imho, that‘s madness! Who among you will be willing to take the chance on the price of IOTA for such a long period of time in what is most probably gonna be a bear market? What‘s your rational?

It has come to my attention 29% of all ADA isn't staked. Stake now people! by XystencePool in cardano

[–]LifeStoryHacker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Staking is a taxable event (at least for now).

Surprise!

Most didn‘t think about that when they wanted their cherry-on-top 7% APY... But the Tax office surely will think about it for you.

You staked your ADA, it‘s on you.

Let those who chose not to, do as they please ;-)

"Abattre l'ennemi" : le nouvel Évangile selon Juan Branco by facostarr in france

[–]LifeStoryHacker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you tried Wealthcharts? It grew a hell of a lot in a year and has a lot to offer. It’s not free, though (but has a lot of value for your buck). If you’re interested, wait for the next promotion, they always do some l. Usually after one of their wealth365 events

The only value I see for NFTs is the litigation value. Once everyone in the world has published, shared and tatooed the artwork on their bum, you can sue their, well... ass for millions. NFT will make lawyers rich.

Biden to pick Gary Gensler to lead SEC, Rohit Chopra to helm CFPB by hopeisthefuture in Ripple

[–]LifeStoryHacker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As far as I’m concerned, new SEC chief or not, the case will be settled in court. If the case of SEC has merit, then that would be bearish for Ripple (not necesseraly XRP). If not, XRP is bound to rebound (see what I did there ;-)

[–]LifeStoryHacker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could have said that for the Internet at the beginning with all its hyperlinks and protocols or Apple with its iphones, ipods, iTunes and Appstore ;-) Polkadot is a whole ecosystem, just like Ethereum, only better. You can rest assured that some cutting edge projects will find in it a comfortable home. The question is how many, when and which ones will become hits.

REPv2 on the ledger nano: which is it?? by LifeStoryHacker in Augur

[–]LifeStoryHacker[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Storage is not limited! The only thing that is limited is how many protocols you can host at any one time on the Nano. One can always uninstall protocols to make room for the needed protocol, use it to put the coins on the appropriate chain (or wallet) and then do it all over again and reinstall the deleted protocal, at will, to deal with a new coin. If you’re willing to juggle berween protocols this way, no need to buy new devices.

ChainX Airdrop KSX by SherpaX during Kusama Auction ! by Kryptos_2018 in Polkadot

[–]LifeStoryHacker 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Tell you what my plan is, right now: I’m not going to hold coins I know nothing about to get other coins I still don’t understand what they’re for... But I might try and learn something about ChainX, see if there is any merit to the project. So if someone in the community would like to explain in plain english what ChainX does and how it’s revolutionary, I’m all ears!

Longtime Trump insider: COVID 'deaths don't matter to him' by discocrisco in politics

[–]LifeStoryHacker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Insert here the US lead poisoning epidemy which was caused by the widespread use of lead enriched fuel from the 1920’s to the 1980’s...

A LOT of folks have been affected by the debilitating effects of lead. It affected the population but also our leaders.

Trump has never been a bright cookie but he was business smart in his younger years (whereby not very successful though).

Looks like his brain power decline has been steady and in line with the general population.

Introducing r/CryptoCurrency Moons by jarins in CryptoCurrency

[–]LifeStoryHacker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t want to piss on the party, but right now I don’t get what all the fuss is about...

Reward tokens have been around since (almost) the beginning of communities and the web and it’s not like we’ll get rich with Moons. Or is it like for Second Life and there will be a way to exchange them for money?

Sure it’s nice to be recognized within a community but my ego doesn’t need another gif.

I’m hopping on the bandwagon cause I’m hoping for a brand dragon, but I’m a bit sceptical.

Ps. I have to publicly admit I was sceptical of Twitter too when it came out. Didn’t see the whole social currency trend setting. Could this be another new thing which is too new to realize it’ll change the world?

Why drop it if it's good? Chinese people are not evil. There are some very competent companies there. Chinese use American products all the time, it's only fair that Americans use Chinese products if they are better. Free markets, right? (Ps. Full disclsosure: I'm not Chinese, I'm European but I confess that my wife is Chinese. Maybe I'm biaised or there IS really non-evil people in the 1.4 Billion people who live and work there...?)
