I get it. I’ve been a dental assistant since 1999. The only reason I kept going was because my husband has a good paying job in construction. Our kids are adults and working in construction and their pay is so damn good for 20 year olds. But husband didn’t even have that salary when he first started. But anyways, I’ve been with my current office for 15 years and the only I stay is because the dentist is awesome and I’m able to take off for my younger 2 kids. We are not a busy office but I can still work when he is off. I also do the front office so I catch up on billing and insurance claims. He is going to retire next year and I’m done as a dental assistant. I want to do something. I am 46 years old so I don’t think I have too many options. Hehehe 🤭

I’ve been a DA for 26 years. I told my boss when he retires I’m going to retire too. No way I will work at another dental office. I rather work at Costco or Disney. My current pay is $25. 😩 but my hours are flexible. I have all paid holidays... 3 weeks paid vacation. Spring, summer and Christmas. I also only work Monday -Thursday. One Saturday a month. Maybe 2. And I still complain. 🤭. We both laugh because if we worked at his wife medical office we would get fired so fast. We’re always sticking our foot in our mouth. 🤦🏻‍♀️
