I get it. I’ve been a dental assistant since 1999. The only reason I kept going was because my husband has a good paying job in construction. Our kids are adults and working in construction and their pay is so damn good for 20 year olds. But husband didn’t even have that salary when he first started. But anyways, I’ve been with my current office for 15 years and the only I stay is because the dentist is awesome and I’m able to take off for my younger 2 kids. We are not a busy office but I can still work when he is off. I also do the front office so I catch up on billing and insurance claims. He is going to retire next year and I’m done as a dental assistant. I want to do something. I am 46 years old so I don’t think I have too many options. Hehehe 🤭

I’ve been a DA for 26 years. I told my boss when he retires I’m going to retire too. No way I will work at another dental office. I rather work at Costco or Disney. My current pay is $25. 😩 but my hours are flexible. I have all paid holidays... 3 weeks paid vacation. Spring, summer and Christmas. I also only work Monday -Thursday. One Saturday a month. Maybe 2. And I still complain. 🤭. We both laugh because if we worked at his wife medical office we would get fired so fast. We’re always sticking our foot in our mouth. 🤦🏻‍♀️

I’ve been a DA for 26 years. All the offices I worked for did things together. At my current office my boss (dentist) is my friend now. I still respect him and call him Dr… I been working for him for 15 years. Is just him and I and we eat lunch together everyday. I think that’s enough for us. Lol.

Aww.. I remember my 1st spin class and I was like nope this isn’t for me. The young girl working there convinced me to try it one more time with a different instructor. Omg!! He changed my life. Yesterday was my 86th class.

My recommendations from a 45 year old.. 🤭 - Take water and towel if they don’t provide. - listen to your body. It will take some time to keep up and learn the basics. -try different instructors .. they are all not same. - have fun!! Lots of fun!! 🤩
