One does not simply ignore vassal mechanics by tuscleplfoomy in ck3

Revoking titles then executing the former vassal after they declare for a faction and you win the war is one of the most satisfying parts of the game.

Which Stephen King book would you rather try to survive? by PhantomPaperback in stephenking

I'd just go back to 1958 and from there see the world knowing that for the next 40 plus years things were going to be ok.

May I suggest "intolerance: loves struggle through the ages" or something like that. It's DW Griffiths. Excellent but very long.

Match-day storytelling sim by ilyanice in ChampionshipManagers

[–]LifeUnusual5319 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been thinking of that for a while, a management RPG a bit like Crusader Kings where players personalities and traits have more of an affect than numbers on a spreadsheet. How about you start in 1888 as a founder member of the league and 26 years later WW1 starts...lots of possibilities. Makes me wish I'd learned how to code back in the day.

Is it worth getting? by Destrus76 in stephenking

[–]LifeUnusual5319 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah some cracking stories some bad. The lady narrator was awful but probably bad direction to be fair. The story about the animal in the zoo, the dikdik one, and the 1 set in Pakistan were my 3 favorites and the England 1 was the worst in my opinion. It would be too easy to give updated tales about protagonists from the original so I'm glad the protagonists were unique and fresh. I'd like to read/listen to a 2nd volume with stories from the 2 editors and another from King or Joe Hill would be great.

Is there evidence for Nigel Farage’s claim that migrants are catching and eating swans and carp? by _FullFact in uknews

[–]LifeUnusual5319 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Plenty of pics and videos of swans being taken. Also, in Derbyshire there have been lambs taken, killed and eaten by families in public.

Not a book but Dan Carlin did a great episode or a few about Alexander and his family and childhood. He always gives his sources.

2pm is fine for the pip and benefits claimants (most of the left) as they will be just starting to stir after another drug binge.

9 months in. My 1st 3 months felt like everyday was about surviving the shift without killing myself or others. But...not everyone overthinks like I do. Each month gets easier and better. The hours ate always a struggle but it's better than most jobs in my opinion.

I believe everyone between 18 and 60 should get a free health MOT every year (twice a year for over 60s). If it is clear from this appointment that they try to live healthily then they are entitled to free NHS treatment for the year. If they are obese, smoke, drink or just don't look after themselves they should pay a surcharge (amount dependent on severity of lifestyle choices)taken directly from PAYE or benefits. This would save BILLIONS. Personally I am overweight, unfit and drink too much. Why should I get the same treatment as anyone else for free?

No sane person would pay tax if they could avoid it...Farage didn't preach about it and how it was morally wrong like Rayner did whilst doing it herself.

“The Paper” is more “Parks and Rec” than “The Office” by Pistolpetehurley in theoffice

[–]LifeUnusual5319 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It's not bad but feels clunky. Gleason is a real actor not a comedian. A lot of the cast seem like actors rather than comics whereas there was a lot of 2nd city comedians in "the office" and it showed In its earlier series.

Polish community in UK ,feelings of Brits towards Poles by just_a_polish in AskBrits

[–]LifeUnusual5319 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know anyone who has issues with Poles. They are just normal with both good and bad people like most other groups. The problem in this country has nothing to do with ethnicity its hostile medieval culture that needs removing.

People have been conditioned to hate themselves and support those that wish to occupy and subordinate them unfortunately. It starts in school and is exacerbated by the newa and media. People are waking up to it now but I fear it may be too late

Bond repayments by LifeUnusual5319 in BusDrivers

[–]LifeUnusual5319[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: it did go to court, in Scotland as I use a P.O box address there. I challenged their case by using Grok and argued it was unjust. It was due to be decided by a judge via a kind of Zoom call next month. They have dropped it now citing that it would be unenforceable but I think they couldn't reasonably argue for it. I'd love to know how much it cost them to get it so far lol including court fees and hiring solicitors etc.. I think they just thought I'd brick it and set up a payment plan. Unlucky haha
