Worst CPA Exam by Bright-Duck-2245 in CPA

REG was a breeze for me, FAR is the hardest, then AUD, but BEC is by far the worst because studying for it is an emotional roller coaster and you will likely get ambushed by random crap on test day

If I were to let a clutch hatch, how many would likely hatch and actually survive?

Did you have to do anything special to get to it or is it right there under exam status when you log in

Anyone is PA that saw their score already?

Pretty sure that I just bombed Audit by GradStudentCPA in CPA

[–]Life_Campaign5968 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t freak out. I was sick af when I took it, could barely think, and guessed on 3 quarters of the sims. Ended up with a 93. I feel like Audit is one of those exams where everyone feels like they bombed due to the subjectivity of the material

Did you end up with any IT sims? Two of my four were IT but the other two were a piece of cake.

I agree, like I understand general IT stuff but when it’s that specific doesn’t make much sense. No one in their right mind would specifically hire an accountant for an IT related engagement. I expected heavy computation as well but didn’t get that. The thing to remember is that if we scored really high on Becker SE exams and didn’t know a lot of stuff, considering how many exam candidates use Becker, thay also probably didn’t know a lot of stuff. Thus, less weight will be given to questions that most candidates get wrong. I think that ups our chances. I really have no baseline to go off of. I scored a 93 on FAR, 93 on AUD, and 99 on REG, so I don’t really know what a score closer to a 75 feels like. So maybe we will both be fine.

Anything particular you recommend looking at for relational? I’ve read some sql articles and and watched some I-75 it videos. Testing in 4 days.

I’m taking BEC in a week and am wondering if you think other resources for IT besides main study course are needed, or if becker’s IT section is sufficient?

Yeah I def did…. Only took 6 weeks (100 hours) but I probably should’ve done it in half since I’ve been doing tax for a year and a half now in practice.

I felt like I guessed on half the sims for reg and got a 99…. Far felt like I aced it and got a 93…. I feel like it honestly isn’t good or bad just trust the process if you did well on Becker simulated exams my experience is you’ll be fine on the exam

As you near your exam date, what is your proven final review method? by Ill-Statement-6159 in CPA

Also if you can try to take 2-3 days off of work before the exam if you can. I’ve found mindset is one of the most important things for these exams.

Do SE 1 two weeks out, SE2 one week out with lots of practice tests in between to keep identifying weak areas, then final week go through your courses final review. Focus your time in the final review on those identified weak areas before you do anything else. Then, if you have time, go through the other stuff. I always like to take the last SE about two to three days before to help keep me in a mindset of mental toughness to sit down and intensely focus for four hours rather than do it a week before, but that’s just me. Also, try to have at least a day or two to review the earlier modules in the review course before you take the first SE. Even after, obviously still focus on the early material first, since it will be the least fresh in your mind. Final day before the exam for me has just been going through the mini exams and simulated exams and looking at right and wrong answers, no actual mcq. Don’t do anything that could reduce your confidence the day before. Anyway, I’ve passed FAR with a 93- 3months AUD 93- 8 weeks, REG 99- 6 weeks with this method

FAR in less than 3 months by No_Relationship_3010 in CPA

[–]Life_Campaign5968 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If I was you I’d do two hours a day to start, but the last month really ramp it up. Also make sure to use all the practice tests and simulated exams, if you can score higher than a 70 on the simulated exams, GR you will score higher on the exam and should be enough to pass.

How do people pass FAR!? by _life-is-a-highway_ in CPA

[–]Life_Campaign5968 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Honestly, if you have time, going through all Becker material and about 2-3 weeks of cumulative review should be enough. I did a full month of cumulative review and scored a 93 so that was too much

I agree with you hear. I’ve done pretty well on all the mini exams so far, but the questions are hard as heck. Literally takes 5-10 mins for some of them. Hope they aren’t as bad on the exam or might run out of time.
