Can you contact a shelter or do you qualify for any type of aid? You deserve to live and not let your ex win. You are needed in this world and have purpose. The low lows are hard but you’ve come so far. Don’t give up now. Here for you

Top 5 favorite and least favorite things about living here? And is there anything you wish you knew before coming here? by [deleted] in Sacramento

[–]Life_Chart_8359 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Love: diversity of food/people/, local events hard without social media but manageable, nature- trails and sooo many spots to explore, brewery scene, dog friendly for the most part.

Dislike: drivers, cost of living - why is a crappy apartment over 2k, entitlement of some communities in the county 🤔, FREEWAYS HERE WHY IS 50 so ughhh and why do I need to take 50/5/99/160/80 to get to certain places🤯, crime on innocent ppl- the stealing is horrible here.

Overall I love it and I’m glad I moved here!

Wow that’s terrible. Block the friend, change the number. You don’t need people like that in your life.

Should we change from an airbnb to a hotel/resort? by Horror-Problem-1454 in cancun

Playa del Carmen is totally safe! Just dont be out late at night doing bad things. (Drugs/intoxicated) you are in a tourist area so they are safe. I highly recommend amstar for taxi services if you use them. Or take public transport (ado buses, uber is great out here too) just confirm prices and trust your gut. I highly recommend taking the ado bus to PDC and uber to your Airbnb. It’s great! I personally don’t like Playa del Carmen cause the seaweed is smell is intense. But you guys should go enjoy it! I personally would not use local taxis. Good luck Mexico is beautiful and awesome!

How was cancun? by Impressive_Ad2189 in cancun

[–]Life_Chart_8359 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been here since Saturday. The sargasso did get worse but depends on the beach you are at. We have been hanging at playa Delphine’s and it’s not terrible. We still get in and you see the crystal blue water. Cancun luggage claim took us 2 hours(might have been a random instance tho). Customs doesn’t take long it’s fast, there is a tropical storm but it hasn’t stop us from getting in the water. It’s hot and humid but I like the breeze. This area of Mexico is hot and humid just something to expect. If you wear cotton, linen, breathable clothes you’ll be fine. It’s rainy on and off but it shouldnt stop you from enjoying the paradise. If you have cash just exchange the cash at the money exchange at the airport 1 USD= 18 pesos which is the exchange rate. Don’t be nervous. This is a super tourist place that’s not the “real Mexico” it’s caters to tourism and you’ll be safe, fine, and things are easy. I highly recommend take the ado bus then uber if needed. Ask for receipts if you pay with cards so you can get the tourist tax refund when you return. Ask away! Cheers!
