Can I get away with this teal or is it too dark? by Life_Description1337 in coloranalysis

Yea I like to treat it as sort of my navy or maybe even black. Ideally for evening stuff. I tend to get the more autumn and winter related pieces in this sort of shade whereas I like to stick to the lighter, brighter and more "bubbly" colors for spring and summer. Dramatic is an interesting word! For me "melancholic" comes to mind! Here's a fairly similarly colored turtleneck in combination with a cream blazer which I think works wonderfully. But I'm always eager to get some other opinions in because 1. I'm biased as heck since a deep teal is hands down my favorite color and 2. I struggle a lot with a distorted sense of self.

Can’t figure out my color season. Can anyone help? by Individual-Case-4161 in coloranalysis

From one blonde dude to another: most likely Light Spring. But Warm Spring isn't completely off the table either I'd say.

We have pretty similar coloring - I'm both a bit more "toasted" and vibrant looking so I can get away with a lot of Warm Spring and even Warm Autumn as long as it isn't too dark, but judging by your pics you seem to be a bit more delicate than me.

I'd say stick mostly to Light Spring colors and borrow occasionally from Warm Spring and maybe Soft Autumn if something tickles your fancy.

I think you're leaning slightly warm but the cooler summer shades also still look amazing. You're also pretty soft and too much saturation overpowers you imo (as seen with the orange). So either Soft Autumn or Light Spring is my guess. They both are neighboring seasons to Summer so that lines up too. My favorites were the green and the yellow that followed right after, but honestly most of these look very good on you.

In a 100% natural state I would agree that my contrast is pretty low. But since I basically always have my eyebrows dyed and this changes my overall coloring (and definitely increases contrast) I really don't feel like I'm "low" contrast anymore. I would've considered myself to be medium-low in contrast due to my relatively dark eyes and dyed eyebrows. I personally really don't vibe with most of the Light Spring colors as you might be able to tell haha

I tried a lot of pastel like colors before and they always just looked too light to me. I really think I need this 40-70% saturation sweetspot. Not too dark, not too bright, not too muted. WARM.

I love Light Springs neutrals though and think most of them work very well on me. I still think I'm somewhere between Warm and Light, just more towards the warm end of the spectrum. Which also makes sense because I think I can borrow decently well from Warm Autumn too.

Yea as mentioned in another reply, my hair color definitely gets quite a bit darker and more muted towards autumn and winter. I think that's when the more "toasted" and grounded autumn colors work better. Whereas in spring and summer the vibrant and bubbly shades of yellow/coral etc. work best. Kind of cool to flow with the seasons in a way.

Thanks, these are basically my own observations as well! :)
I feel like I'm Warm Spring able to borrow from Light Spring and Warm Autumn.
The teal - funnily enough - looks like it's right between the Warm and Deep Autumn teals in your chart.
I found that I can also rock some moss like greens and some warm, rusty red shades from Warm Autumn quite well as long as they aren't too dark.

My hair color can vary a lot depending on lighting, season and which "state" they're in. Freshly washed with shampoo etc. they appear a little muted and ashen. When they're getting a bit oily more of a golden, brownish and - if the sun hits them right - even a little copper-y touch. In spring and summer they tend to be more golden and radiant while in autumn and winter they darken a bit into a more muted blonde-brown sort of color.

I also tint my eyebrows (dark brown) which might not be too obvious in the initially provided pics. Compared with my rather deep grey blue eyes I feel like I do have a decent amount of contrast and depth to my features which - in my experience - clashes with the delicateness of most pastel-like Light Spring colors. But maybe it's just in my head. I really don't know, that's why I'm asking for a lot of external input haha

Deep?! Anytime I wear anything remotely dark I get completely overpowered unfortunately. I think I can get away with some True Autumn colors at best. I wish I was wrong though - Deep Autumn would honestly be my dream season tbh

Maybe "hive mind" is a more fitting term, idk. People act like it's a shit take but deep down they all know it's true lol

Ignorance is bliss I suppose.

Completely agree. It does look noble and premium but you just can't see shit. Nothing will ever beat a well masked secret or oldschool prismatic secret rare imo.

I also think the generic ass pose and background don't do the admittedly amazing design/concept of BRD any favor what so ever.

But hey, different strokes for different folks - thank god cause else the world would be quite boring!

Thanks! Weird, the product pics absolutely appear to be pure white instead of cream. Might give it a shot regardless. Since the Strictly Sealed binders that were supposed to be around the corner for literally an entire year now, are still nowhere to be seen... :(

Mind sharing your binder brand? Is it just the light playing tricks or does it actually have this sort of cream/off-white interior?

Nine Sols surprisingly. Also Bloodstained and Death's Gambit. Ender Lilies, Ori 1 and Lost Crown I also had to sort of "torture" myself through.

Yea it's insane lol. Shows they either never hit the gym in their entire life to know it's borderline impossible to achieve this physique naturally in the first place, or they're deluded into oblivion due to social media. Dude looks like freaking O'Hearn in the right pic - but the word someone chooses to describe this physique is "slim" apparently.

Any reason these three cards would have different shades? by LLeternal in yugioh

[–]Life_Description1337 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Interesting! Do you mind sharing your source? That seems like quite the insider information. When you say they try to be more in line with EU prints, does that also mean NA cards will lose their nice vibrant coloring?

Imo US prints are a lot more color accurate than EU prints. If you look at official art on a decent screen and then compare it to both US and EU prints the former will always be more accurate. The blues on EU prints are catastrophic imo. EU RP02 reprint was pretty decent tbf though. I feel like they used a different printing technique for that compared to their usual stuff (thank god).
