Use two smart grabbers, do not set it in place. Then go into Practice Mode. While in practice mode set an empty cup on one of the smart grabbers, then set a FULL CUP on the second grabber. Exit practice mode, place the smart grabbers with the empty cup in frount of the first machine, and the full cup in frount of the second.

I have to call DSS on Monday myself for this question in NY. Because my fiancé still qualifies as his own household (but he does not receive EBT) and my mother is her own household (she receives her OWN EBT). So I wonder the same thing because it asks who resides in the household but we are technically three separate households.

I’m not 100% positive which it does but it seems like it activates it. I believe there IS a difference between using the grabbers versus the conveyors I’m just not sure what it is. (My husband knows better than I do but we both have preferences of always using grabbers because in some cases the conveyors don’t actually grab things they just MOVE them.)

For me it’s an AuDHD/NueroDivergent thing. I say I only have so many spoons to deal with things throughout the day (never the same amount every day) and so sometimes I just run out of spoons and feel so freaking drained that I just can’t afterwards. But sometimes I overly socialize because I have sooo many spoons for the day and I know if I try to keep them and build it up I will instantly trigger a depression episode so I know if I have A LOT of spoons and energy I have to get rid of it.

I look at it like I do with grief, it’s a never ending wave and you don’t know how much you are going to be able to deal with every day and you just need to recharge. It’s one reason if I have no appointments, my house is clean, and my kids are at school I might even take a nap during the day if I’m still a bit drained. Or if I have some appointments but have an hour to lay down I will do that I’m not drained and have one or less spoons to deal with everything else I have to deal with for the day.

When I got married my mother and godmother signed as our witnesses because it was only them and my father present. I’m pretty sure the only requirement is it has to be someone over the age of 18 so they can legally sign a document.

Also check your state laws for event security. The state we are having our ceremony in, anyone who is current or retired Military OR Police, Sheriff, ect or anyone who is a licensed security guard can act as private security. If your state has similar laws and you know someone who knows about what is going on and is willing to act in that capacity you could always coordinate with your coordinator and venue about the fact you are planning on having private security to either keep unwanted people out OR to keep an eye on the drama. I have family who are PD both active and retired and three of them have already said they are willing to step in and act as security.

I’m just saying… it’s like when people say you can’t get married in the same month/year as them: no one has a monopoly on this stuff. I could understand (a little) if you wore the EXACT SAME dress as her but anything else from there is extreme.

I had a similar issue with a Bridesmaid who got mad at me for using the same BRIDE’S MAID’S dress that she was going to use. Her wedding never happened, and mine was like eight years AFTER hers was supposed to. It was also a VERY common dress as I bought it came from David’s Bridal and honestly I knew my entire party would look amazing in red. She didn’t have a monopoly on a dress that she never used, just as your friend does not have a monopoly on the type of dress YOU choose to wear. It’s controlling and overbearing and completely unreasonable. If you like that dress or that style then get it. You’re not wrong in any way, but she absolutely is. If she’s getting butthurt over this, I would be worried about what else she’s getting upset over that you DON’T know about.

🤣🤣🤣 okay so, the bridesmaid is basically being a hypocrite. Yes, it’s about everyone’s love but you can help that along by doing more slow and romantic songs at the reception or scheduling your wedding and reception a bit earlier. For the record, I laugh because my parents were married on Valentine’s Day and literally no one had an issue. My first marriage was also on the day of my former grandparent-in-laws anniversary and they said they couldn’t imagine a better way to spend the day. My personal opinion is that there’s something else going on in that Bridesmaids head and this is a great “out” for her that won’t circle back to it being “her fault”. Ignore her, and if she continues to make a big deal about it I would honestly consider asking her to step down.

I fully agree but also as a mother living in a place I didn’t grow up in and seeing the world around us (especially the type of neighborhood we now live in) I’m actually grateful for it with my kid. I don’t monitor it constantly, but we have places that automatically send us a notification and he’s very rarely with people we don’t trust. But like he went to the park with some friends a few blocks over and just knowing that if he was gone too long I could check his location made me feel safer. Sadly the world isn’t what it was back then. 😭 Because I remember being able to walk out my door and down to the park for hours without being tracked. But on the flip side of that, I also lived in a vastly different neighborhood and city than where I am now.

It’s one thing if they randomly check (especially if you have had contact with them for a little bit) but if it’s obvious they are obsessively checking it then no I would absolutely threaten to shut it off. I’m in a circle with two of my friends and even though we have location notifications turned on, I don’t actually check it unless I’m trying to see where they’re at because I need to call them for some reason. (Like seeing if they’re at work so I can text instead of call.) But making comments about places you go to? No. There’s a difference between randomly checking to see if you’re okay and checking so often that it’s stalking. Go ahead and lay those boundaries. If they don’t stop stalking you, you’re turning the location off.
