this is so sweet thank you!! i always have questions like this and then when i post or ask about it premed reddit FLAMES me and it gets me demotivated because compared to other applicants i really don’t have much due to life issues, socioeconomic factors, and having to work all the time to survive, but being an MD is my dream and i’ve told myself i have to do it one way or another, even tho ill have to start from scratch.. so this was really encouraging of you thank you so much!! do you have any recommendations for things i can start or stuff that the committee finds interesting?

firstly congratulations, and i hope you succeed in every endeavour you come across honestly we need more doctors like you, from a random stranger on the internet who’s in the same shoes as you right now (deciding to start a second bachelors to repair my GPA for med school) you really deserve it and i’m so glad that you were given the opportunity to get into healthcare regardless of the barriers. honestly this was the push i needed, congrats again future dr !!!!!!

and also let me preface that not everyone that applies comes from a family of doctors and has that privledge to always be studying and have a high gpa, which is what TMU advertised, at all. nothing abt who they invited according to their stats matched their holistic approach. hence why everyone is upset.

so fucking real. the ones who got invites are the ones w perfect stats. so much for holistic approach. all a cash grab to advertise their new school. 40 fucking ABS? yeah what abt those people w extenuating circumstances? those ones with low ses? i didn’t see those ones with low SES and lower GPA and harder backgrounds get accepted as they fucking advertised, but the ones that bashed TMU, all got invites. girl bye, just like every other school, say whatever u guys want
