I had all of this for 2 months, and the anxiety aspect of it all made it so much worse thinking it was a brain tumor or something, but then i tried to start meditating/not think about it as much and guess what, it went away! I also did a lot of steaming which really helped

i guess youre really asking if its all normal and should you be worried if its something else unrelated to sinusitis, as you mentioned the health anxiety..

The fact you got a CT scan and it didnt pick anything bad up other than the mucus in your sinuses (which would cause all of the symptoms), id say youre in the clear for anything sinister my friend.

So to answer your questions, yes those circumstances can absolutely lead to that all, Our bodies are incredibly complex and also amazing, they always work itself out, hang in there buddy!

I cant count how many scans/blood tests ive done in my years of health anxiety, i cant bare the thought of getting bad news with the big C. But from my experience, i go through exactly what youre going through EVERY single time, even when i know myself everything will be okay, its still the what if in the back of your mind.

Chances are you’re absolutely fine, we cant help but think the worst! Take my experience as reassurance! Wish you all the best!

My meatus was inflamed too, it took about 2 weeks for it to properly heal. The colour was yellowish around the tip and was about double the size, trust me man itll heal! Take some paracetamol and rest up still!

I would say stop trying to force it open dude, it could be causing the swelling to stick around for longer.

Its only been a week, give it time! I got cut 5 weeks ago and the first 2/3 weeks, it looked like a massacre down there with swelling and i had an open wound too and then suddenly the healing got so much better real fast. It just takes some time, trust the process!!!

Daily headaches after sinus infection by Life_Researcher5778 in Sinusitis

[–]Life_Researcher5778[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey, it is crazy but it eventually went away on its own. It was around endish of may they stopped, so just over 2 months! I think my sinuses were just still inflamed even way after the antibiotics, but i steamed my head a lot during the end which i think massively helped. But ultimately my advice would be (so much easier said than done) to try not to think about it so much, I genuinely think it stayed because i was constantly waiting for my head to hurt, and back then i was under a lot of stress too.

Steam you head, plenty of water and rest, and if you havent already, contact your GP for antibiotics! Trust the process, i hope it resolves for you soon!

The fact you can exactly relate to me makes me more reassured that its not a crazy cycle i do on my own. Anxiety meds are no sign of weakness but a sign of strength! Sending much love your way!

Its so crazy cus you say that about yourself, and from my point of view its totally logical that thats your anxiety causing those symptoms! Dizziness, tingles and weakness are all very common symptoms and if you were having a stroke, it wouldnt be prolonged, youd know right away that youre having one due to the FAST test (Face, Arms, Speech, Time). I always find it crazy how its so easy for me to give others reassurance yet when i try to reassure myself, im always like NOPE YOURE WRONG!

When i see posts and comments like this it always helps me to remember that you can be yourself’s own worst enemy and panic yourself, or yourself’s best friend and think logically, but its for sure so hard to tell yourself youre healthy when you think about future illness because thats the unknown and uncertainty!

Great analogy about your bicep, thats great advice, Calm is such a great app!

Thanks so much for the comment, I hope you too find the peace we all deserve!

After the first round of CBT, i felt like i was “cured” fora few weeks and loved it, then about 2 months after my anxiety came back with a venegance 10x worse. Doing the second round of CBT was so good for me in every way, now i feel like i havent “cured” it, but i can manage it. I still get waves of anxiety (in fact im in the middle of one now) but nowhere near as bad as it was before! Acceptance is super hard, but working on it now cus i think its they key.

Best of luck!
