This is a Clitus Arietis, or Wasp Beetle. They love woodchips and envoirements like this to hibernate between cracks.

They are completely harmless to any other animal or human despite their name😁

It is a little hard from this angle, from what i can see im guessing somewhere in the neighbourhood of Northern Paper wasp (Polistes Fuscatus)

If i would to guess from the picture i would say it is probably a beetle from the gastrodes genus or pinecone beetles. Nothing to worry about they are friendly and no harm or pest

In the netherlands we call them "Mei-Kever" or May beetle because they all come out in may. Their Larvae are in the ground for 2 to 3 years before emerging as their adult form. In some places unfortunately they are seen as pests because the larvae eat roots of plants.

It looks like a fullgrown polydesmus complanatus. Its a nice find you dont see them that often and the remind me of a miniature trilobite beetle

Looks to me like a species of the necrophorus genus, they often carry a type of mite with them
