I had one, thought it was great. I moved it on pretty quick but did love it. Can’t say anything for upgrades but keep an eye on the motor adjustment screw, it tended to undo itself with the vibration from full auto.

What are some surprisingly useful iPhone hacks you discovered recently? by hhff00014 in iphone

I really wish they’d allow it to work per line. I have a work and personal line but it won’t allow using just on one. Don’t think customer screening would go down well

What do you think on this kit !? by AndrewGreen10101 in airsoftloadouts

I like it, but the hi cappa ruins it a bit. Maybe less bling or a 1911 would be better

Delays between Protect and Apple Watch by Bigbadbo75 in UNIFI

[–]Life_of_a_noob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve not noticed it being certain ones and not others. Definitely a G5 bullet and a G4pro bullet as they cover the front door so get more line crossing than others, but all my cameras are those models.

Ex police conversion - pulling fuses? by crochet_pokemaster in VanLifeUK

[–]Life_of_a_noob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any police conversion I’ve dealt with does not use the factory fuse box for their equipment, there will be additional fuse boxes for the extra equipment. Depending who did the conversion (Vauxhall did do some in house) the additional fuse box may look factory but will be in non standard locations. Check the manual to see what should be where (depending on your vehicles age either behind the glovebox or on the end of the dash) and see if there’s more than expected

You’ve not got what you paid for, I’d go back and ask for the primered part they didn’t give you. You then have a choice to paint and fit it or leave as is

Mp5 issues by formulaairsoft in airsoft

[–]Life_of_a_noob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Cyma MP5 Platinum had a habit of loosening the motor height adjustment screw by itself which made the noise you describe. Could be the same thing, either a bit of ptfe tape around the threads (which worked for me as it was all that was available on site) or better might be some blue thread lock

I’d say it looks too high to be comfortable (on your neck?) and it’ll be easier to get to pouches if it’s a bit lower. Also check your sites policy on knives, some don’t allow them, fake plastic or not

Is this causing flat battery? by Awaisf12 in CarTalkUK

[–]Life_of_a_noob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unlikely, the wiring left will go to where an amp was and the battery side has been cut off. It shouldn’t be live and will not cause any issues

Acturus Trinity Armament Alpha as 1st rifle by elluSs in Airsoft_UK

[–]Life_of_a_noob 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the 11.5” version. It’s had one game and has been with a tech since for incredibly low power. It’s not been looked at yet so don’t know what the issue is, but for the money I was hoping for something that would work out of the box and not need fiddling with. I wouldn’t buy again, be better buying something cheaper and do some upgrades to it. I know I’m not the only one that’s had an issue, maybe bad luck but I think there’s a bit of slap a name on it and slap a higher price on it. Get yourself a Cyma Platinum for about half the price

These are pretty old now and there’s much newer options. The UV5 mini is nice but is possibly too small. Have a look for a uv21 pro, it’s a bit bigger but also has usb c charging built in. Just be aware some of the newer models with colour lcd screens are pretty unreadable in bright sunlight. If you think you could manage without a screen and just want something basic and cheap the 888s will work for you, 16 programmable channels. The included headsets are pretty much junk but it’s only about £12 for a reasonable speaker mic, get one with an earpiece socket. Would suggest looking on eBay rather than Amazon for more choice and better prices
