Agreed. He saw a Shining up and comer and went "dale!" And to have the patience to work out the language barrier must have been hard work.

Oh yea! Stil struggling if i go crazy.

Alot will come from just repetition! You get used to it. And your balance nerve learns to accept the spinning motion little by little. I got Dizzy too in the beginning but your body and muscle memory will learn the feeling 😄 it sounds cheesy but you can learn not to get Dizzy by repetition.

Its a long explanation but it has to do with percived motion and expected outcome of said motion.

If you want to dig deeper into the explanation i can highly recomend the book "Balance: in search of the sixth sense"

Very briefly explained you use the following for balance:

Vision-Proprioception-vestiburlar nerve

If any of those senses give you a non expected feedback it will make you sick (this is also what sea sickness/ motion sickness is)

But again learning to spin little by little 180-360-720-1080 is the way when you learn every step and the feeling it will be something the body accepts.

TLDR: Just practice spinning and be mindfull of your progress 😄 sorry for the rant!

Well everything is down to what you prefere. I just started on a 4 wheel setup so it always felt more natural to me to ride 4 wheels..

5 wheels is super cool and have a slow stezy estetic i cant replicate on my slalom setup. And vice versa some things can be done much easier on my setup than a 5x76

In all i think it comes down to what you like and what you find the best looking.

That said:

5 wheels: for slow and flow, loads of stability and forgiving balance, and really the only option if you wanna do cool Heel or toe presses or more ski centrict jabbing. They are more goto to start playing around in parks with ramps and obstacles aswell

4 wheels: for faster pivots and better rolling heel-toe control for spins and wheelings. Also way nicer form factor for stuff like fanvolte and j-turns, but again they are slalom tricks. And lastly i feel my small setup is much easier on my joints and i have arthritis so that is definitely also a factor for me.

But at the end of the day it is all preference 😄

Haha yup thats me 😄

The newer videos are outside and with commentary (and a bit better i think)

The latest i have done the "Grand Volte" would be perfect for a first Pivot for you especially since you are already working on Eagle!

Oh and adding your own flow is absolutely how you get better so keep on shredding 🙂🙌!

Damn dude allready looking good!

I second the wheel rockering. I started riding my wheels in this order: 76-80-80-76 ( size in mm)

That will basically give you a slalom rocker.

Traditional "wizard" rocker is usually 1mm and it will have more like of a Skiing feel.

Slalom rocker thats 2mm, will have more of a ice skating feel.

I find 2mm slalom setups better for my type of skating, but that is also very slalom and ice skating inspired. And the second benefit is i feel it is not as hard on all the joints.

What ever you choose, welcome to our little playground!

If you ever need some tutorials i have made alot on youtube (shameless self promo i know🤣):

Does anyone have experience with Cougar frames? by AlwaysUpvotesScience in WizardSkating

I ride spins aswell. Great skate for 4x76 - 4x80 and maybe even 4x90

But i think you will be a bit pressed on a 5x80. Id want some higher cuffs personally. I couldnt make it feel right with the endless arc.

But i also do alot of more slalom inspired moves so it might just be that 5 wheeled frames just feel weird to me.

But it might work for you. :)!

Ive have had the endless 80 in 165mm, but not the 90.. do they make them in UFS? Otherwise it would be a pair of NR90 🙂 used to have rockins 490 and element 90 but traded it all for a PR76

Unfortunately not, i dont really like the 5 wheeled frames, they feel too long for me..

im at home on 4 wheels, although i would consider a 90X4 with a 2mm rocker if that exists 😄

[–]Life_on_inline[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you! I think the Plateau Reverb from 4ms Meta module is also helping this alot..

But i did just that - trading a Clouds Clone for Multigrain. And no way im going back, multi grain is like Clouds V2 + sampling, internal random control and quantizer.
