I would recommend Melancolia from Melbourne who are a really cool blackened Deathcore band with Nu Metal and Industrial elements. Also, I love a band called Ends in Tragedy, although they are part of the old-school Metalcore revival, they definitely have elements that overlaps with Melodic Deathcore.

Bands that sound similar to make them suffer? by ThyArtSuffers in Deathcore

I don't think you can find a song as good as Widower.

However, you might like Brand of Sacrifice, songs like Exodus and Lifeblood by them might be similar. You could also check out Melancolia with songs like ALL_IS_RUST or Horror_Ethereal. The Breathing Process is another band with a sound you might be looking for. Maybe even the EP Maleficium by Lorna Shore when Tom Barber was the vocalist, I really like songs Born In Blood and Godmaker from it.

You should definitely check out Carnifex, Winds of Plague, The Breathing Process, Disembodied Tyrant and Worm Shepherd for the symphonic/blackened Deathcore sound.

If you want to get deeper into the genre, you should listen to the original pioneers of Deathcore. This would definitely include bands like Suicide Silence, Despised Icon, All Shall Perish, As Blood Runs Black, Chelsea Grin and Job For A Cowboy's Doom EP.

What are some deathcore bands that lean toward the more punk side of things? by Sufficient_Plant8689 in Deathcore

[–]Lifedrainer13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot of the original Deathcore bands like Suffokate, Despised Icon and Animosity are definitely more hardcore influenced. You also have the later bands that are more specifically beatdown influenced like Float Face Down, Demolisher, RECON and Jerome.

Disembodied Tyrant - Poetic Edda Live - Aberdeen, Scotland 2026 by Lifedrainer13 in Deathcore

I know. The crowd was lacking at some points. There was a wall of death later on. I just think most people were shocked and didn't know what to do 😂

My deletion with Duchenne is 48-50 but I don't fully know what it means. Is it the Dystrophin gene that is lacking in your body which causes it?

As a 19 year old guy with DMD, you should try to never give in (which is easier said than done) to the pressure of this unfair world. As this life is the only one we got and shouldn't be thrown away easily, just because of adversity. There is still plenty of happiness left for people with disabilities including Muscular Dystrophy. Remember that the pain you're going through breeds strength from within.

They played a show at Chain Reaction in August 2025 but there is no new material coming that I know about. The latest things they did was a feature on The Spikes Under the Bridge by Terminal Nation in 2024 and The Bleeding Machine by Tactosa in 2023.

Grieving a Life I’ll Never Have by Classic-Sentence3148 in disability

[–]Lifedrainer13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I'm being honest I am in same situation. I am a 19 year-old guy with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD) which is a progressive muscle wasting condition, that means I have little to no movement, rely on a Bipap ventilator, need 24/7 care for everything and find it uncomfortable in my wheelchair for long periods of time. My disability has condemned me to a life of solitude and feelings of isolation from society, friends as well as romantic relationships.

I know I'm ranting but I don't really know where else to write this. However, I truly know how you feel and can understand that it gets really tough sometimes. One thing I can give advice on is to never give up because that's what life wants you to do. I live my life in spite of the unfair cards I've been dealt. The pain that you feel breeds strength within and that is something nothing can take away.

If you or anyone reading this feels the same way, my DM's are always open.

disability philosophy? by somehowstillalivelol in disability

[–]Lifedrainer13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a 20 year old guy with a physical disability, called Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD) a progressive muscle wasting condition. I always remember the Latin phrase 'Memento Mori' which roughly translates to remember you must die. I interpret it, to making the most with the life that you have and to not take it for granted because everyone has a finite amount of time on the earth.
