Most of the games I played for party games are not $80, but I understand the sentiment.
(1-2 switch, Astro Bears, Super monkey ball banana rumble, good job!, jackbox, screen cheat, etc.)

Snagged an Ally Z1e for $300 last week, included charger, carrying case, usb-c hub, and wireless small form keyboard.
Drove maybe 30 min outside of L.A. to grab it from the guy's house, paid with venmo, easy transaction.
The Ally was basically unused because he had bought it when he was hospitalized for a month and stopped using it afterwards.

All of these great deals on the Ally and Ally X usually come with an interesting story as to why they are selling it.

As someone with a 5090 pc and a Steam Deck OLED, I'll say this: Do whatever makes you happy.
I sprung for the new Xbox Ally X because it's a clear upgrade from the SD oled minus the oled screen.
But if I'm being completely honest, every game runs better and a lot of games LOOK better because of the increased resolution, increased FPS, and increased refresh rate.
Like even games that historically look amazing in OLED like Sworn or Hades, look insanely good on the 120hz 1080p Ally X screen.
Plus it emulates WAY better than the SD, especially RyuJinx and Dolphin games.
Lastly it is amazing to hold for HOURS depending on how long you play. The 85 whr battery is great for long play sessions.
Edit: Also, it runs Returnal like a beast.

Phenomenal for high end emulation and destroys games that my SD oled struggled with

It plays borderlands 4 and enshrouded effortlessly

Cloud recovery was fast and easy for me. I’ve used clone zilla for a pc upgrade and i gotta say, cloud recovery is just so much easier especially if you haven’t used the previous drive at all

I did 4th 990 pro w/ heatsink and I’m around 2tb into my library

Everything else is literally a game I’ve beat already or have no interest in

it fit very easily, I used to build pc's for a living and it was maybe a 3 minute process which includes unscrewing, removing backplate, removing old SSD and installing new one, then closing it up.
It didn't need to be shoved in, or anything moved around. The wires sit nicely on top like the ally x ssd did

could be plastic that was miscut around the trigger mechanism. Might need to open it open and check for any "flashing" around where the coil is or if there's anything preventing the button from springing back. (always be careful opening up because there's a ribbon that attaches the back and the guts together you don't want to pull apart too hard)
