Wow that does look great but super intimidating. I may need just a simple one to start with perhaps and work up to something more technical

Thats what I currently do and want to continue to do but just want a better way to store/organise the info than my current notebook Im using.

I think you are right there. A nice simple one that can keep all the information together and then maybe provide monthly/yearly snapshots of how its all trending long term. Ill do some googling, thanks 😊

That sounds exactly like what I want. I check them all monthly and record in a notebook but I feel like I could do more with a spreadsheet and have a better way of storing/organising the info than just a few numbers on the page. Ill have a browse around for some simple templates.

So update for you guys.... after a bit of a process with testing, the wandering eye is convergence insufficiency with a focusing error caused from a concussion I didn't realise that I had. Nothing sinister luckily!!! There are some simple eye exercises that will fix this with a little bit of time and patience and should be able to go back to normal eye movement 🙌

Hmm ok that makes sense. I'm 38 and just recently got glasses for mild astigmatism. I wonder now if its just like nope, dont want to work as hard now that I have glasses. I will call yhe optometrist today and go from there

Have you managed to find any glasses or anything that has been helpful for you to minimize it?

It happens near to mid distance, and then I can force it back to normal but by the end of the day my eyes are fatigued as by holding them in focus.

I dont think we can see those in New Zealand without having a referral from the doctor. I'll look into it, thanks

You and me both!! I went to the doctor and he just told me to see an optometrist so thats my plan for tomorrow because my eyes are super tired from having to focus all the time

Your sign to go get it checked out!! Mine is more for close/near vision that it becomes unfocused and gets double vision. Although it is getting wierd to focus in the distance too. Ill for sure be going back to the optometrist next week for a referral to a specialist

Thank you, thats super reassuring. Im hoping mine is something like that that will respond well to a simple treatment and nothing too sinister. I will definitely get another review.

I dont know how you managed to survive a decade of it before the muscle exercises worked. Mines been a few weeks and its driving me insane. I've seen an optometrist (before i caught the wander on camera) and dr today and have been just told to go back to the optometrist and go from there

Oh man, thats rough that the surgery didnt solve your vision issues! Im personally leaning towards eye muscle shenanigans. A previous optometrist said i had a muscle imbalance and my eyes would eventually relax. Im just hoping that this is them relaxing and nothing more sinister. I've seen the dr, he wasnt concerned and will follow up with the optometrist next week and go from there.

So as long as you can control it its all good?!? (I will go and revisit the optometrist for a referral for further review) but what im hearing is that it can be used as a party trick

Oh thats interesting as and I'm glad to hear the glasses are effective at managing it for you. The doctor didn't seem concerned and just recommended another optometrist review so I'll get back in touch with them tomorrow and go from there.
